@FPLReaction’ Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 12

The Premier League season continues so we look to the new round. We bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction to give you his FPL team reveal for Gameweek 12.

As we approach any given deadline, managers will be scrambling for clarity on some of the biggest decisions in the game like transfers and captaincy. Taking a look at @FPLReaction’s team reveal for FPL Gameweek 12 could benefit other managers when making those decisions.

Gameweek 11 Review

  • What a week! That was one of the lowest scoring weeks I have ever seen as a FPL manager.
  • I managed 34 points overall which was enough for a green arrow from 720k to 600k.
  • I used both of my free transfers last week – bringing in both Kostas Tsimikas and Kaoru Mitoma in for Pedro Porro and James Maddison. Tsmikas didn’t start but Mitoma did and bagged six points.
  • The biggest win of the week for me was not owning Mohamed Salah. He blanked and Kieran Trippier did really well against Arsenal (nine points).
  • Jarrod Bowen was my third and final return. Each and every return was really needed this week.
  • This week wasn’t great in terms of returns but I will absolutely take a 120k green arrow. I think Gameweek 11 was a big success for me.
  • My entire bench was flagged last week which wasn’t ideal. This is something I need to prioritise soon.

Gameweek 12 team reveal (subject to change)

  • This is my Gameweek 12 set-up with no changes, welcome to flag city!
  • I’m happy with 10 of the starting 11 going into the new round. Tsimikas is a concern after playing just one half in mid-week. Its suggests he could just continue to pick up one point in most games going forward.
  • The issue with the above is, as you can see I have no cover on my bench for Tsimikas. Ideally I don’t want to be starting him, especially against Brentford who I think will score.
  • I have one free transfer this week. As much as I would like to use it in midfielder it’s clear I need a defender and quickly.
  • I was going to take a risk in Pervis Estupinan but he picked up an injury in midweek after just coming back.
  • With that in mind it leaves me with some very boring choices. I have been looking at the likes of Gabriel at Arsenal, Lewis Dunk at Brighton, Tyrick Mitchell at Crystal Palace and Harry Maguire at Manchester United, exciting right?
  • I really don’t want to use a transfer on a defender this week but I don’t think I have a choice. I could just roll and hope that Tsimikas plays the full game and none of my other players fail to start.
  • Captaincy is interesting this week. A lot of the best options played game time during the week in the Champions League and Europa. The players that played the least were Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah and I don’t own the latter. I was tempted by Mitoma this week but he played the full 90 with Watkins so I’m not entirely keen.
  • Any of the above could still happen but I think the most sensible options are captaining Haaland and rolling.
  • Good luck!
