FPL fixtures the longview – Which teams should we target and avoid?

This season it has sometimes felt difficult for managers to make long term plans. However, now might be the right time to look beyond the next couple of FPL Gameweeks. By assessing the best and worst upcoming FPL fixtures managers can target their transfers.

FPL fixtures

The Fantasy Football Scout season ticker allows managers to look at an editable period of Gameweeks of their choosing. Managers can delete Gameweeks, change the ratings of games and sort by difficulty. Here is the ticker for the next eight Gameweeks:

Teams to target

Friday’s announcement of a Double Gameweek 28 and 29 has greatly impacted the Longview rankings. Newcastle and Southampton sit on top, adding appeal to the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Armando Broja, whilst Tottenham’s extra game could see an increase in ownership for Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

The Wolves defence also looks appealing, especially with how resolute they have been in recent weeks. Burnley are the only side to play twice in Gameweek 27, with their postponed fixture against Leicester recently added.

No longer blanking that week, the Leicester fixtures look attractive on paper despite no imminent double. This makes James Maddison a very appealing asset, considering three fixtures still have to be rearranged.

FPL managers can also be sure of game time for the Foxes in Blank Gameweek 30. Their match is one of only three fixtures so far guaranteed to be played, as both they and Brentford are out of the FA Cup.

Chelsea are likely to be back on the minds of FPL managers following the Blank Gameweek 27 caused by their League Cup final. From Gameweek 28 onwards, Chelsea face Burnley, Norwich, Newcastle and Brentford.

The rankings for Liverpool and Arsenal in the ticker are affected by their Blank Gameweek. Despite this, the Gunners have a nice run from Gameweek 28 plus a couple of matches to be rearranged. Looking at Arsenal for long term investments looks promising after the next deadline.

The FFScout season ticker also offers separate rankings focused on both attack and defence.

WHO TO AVOID

Immediate meetings with Man City and Spurs put Everton low down on the ticker. Although they are another side with three games-in-hand.

Aston Villa, Watford and Man United rank low down. This means so there could be an argument for losing the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Emmanuel Dennis, Josh King, David De Gea, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo.
