FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 28

We bring in the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 28. It has been a busy Gameweek 27 with lots of shocks and surprises of which some of the best managers and biggest personalities in the FPL community have reacted to. They also highlight players, teams and performances.

Catching up with some FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 28 could be hugely beneficial for fantasy managers. From them we can emphasise some of the best and worst performances which can then have an effect on future planning.

@FPLMarcin

Many like Marcin sold Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer in recent weeks. This was primarily due to the fact he had to face Manchester City and a Blank Gameweek. Whilst some managers sold him, others planned to hold onto him which may have been the best play.

Cole Palmer has been fantastic for Chelsea this season scoring 10 goals and registering seven assists in just 23 matches. He returned from his Blank Gameweek by creating an assist against Brentford. Those using the Free Hit in Gameweek 29 will be targeting Palmer over the coming weeks, especially with fixtures against Newcastle, Burnley, Sheffield United and Everton in the next six.

@FPLGOAT7

FPL GOAT was amongst the managers to highlight the performances of Jarrod Bowen with Lucas Paqueta back in the starting line-up. West Ham were in a torrid run of form recently but that appears to be over after two wins on the bounce. Interestingly both of those wins came after Lucas Paqueta returned from injury.

The above is brilliant news for FPL managers as West Ham don’t just play in Gameweek 29 but they also have fixtures against the likes of Burnley, Newcastle, Tottenham, Fulham ad Crystal Palace ahead. Jarrod Bowen will be the standout option for potential investors after securing a huge three goals and one assist in the last two games.

@LetsTalk_FPL

Andy highlighted something all Brighton owners should take note of. Brighton played Fulham in Gameweek 27 and left out some key players. One of which was midfielder Pascal Gross. The German managed four returns on the bounce before failing to start this week. With Europe coming up again we could see this more often.

Another huge piece of news to hit the community this week was that full-back Pervis Estupinan was starting. Many off-loaded him this week but some felt that he could still have potential. The latter wasn’t to be and although he started, his side lost 3-0 and with the help of a yellow card he managed zero points.

Brighton do not have a fixture in Gameweek 29 and face Liverpool and Arsenal in the next five matches. With that and the above in mind, it could be hugely beneficial to ditch our Brighton assets.

@FPL_Swe

Every week we seem to highlight the performance of Ollie Watkins. The Aston Villa striker leads every other player in the game for points so far. His performances continue to make managers debate the captaincy armband and some have even chose to give him the big responsibility this week, including Calle.

Two of the major concerns when captaining Watkins include the fact that he doesn’t have penalties and the fact that captaining him means not captaining Erling Haaland. However, as we can see Watkins does not need penalties when in current form to take the plunge. Could this week open up the gateway to more Watkins captaincies moving forward?

@CazzaFPL

Caz posted one of the funniest tweets this week but his comment also had huge significance. Many have been complaining about Alphonse Areola and Martin Dubravka for some time now. However, both returned in the recent round. In fact, not only did Areola manage a huge 13 points for saving a penalty but he also became the highest scoring goalkeeper in the game. His recent performance and the fact he plays in Gameweek 29 suggests he could help FPL managers see out the rest of the season.

Caz also picked up on Anthony Gordon who could become an attractive option for managers once more. The midfielder hit 129 point this week due to his goal making it his 14th return of the campaign. He goes onto face West Ham, Everton, Fulham and Tottenham after Blank Gameweek 29 and many within the community will want him back in their teams.
