FPL Budget Players for Gameweek 13

We pick out the best FPL budget players for Gameweek 13. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout fixture ticker and underlying stats we provide some of the best cheap players, whether that be goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders or forwards for the round ahead.

Finding some of the best FPL budget players for Gameweek 13 can be extremely useful to managers. Cheap players are vital when it comes to trying to fit in the more expensive options and can even be great standalone assets.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have very good potential this week as they face-off against Luton. The Hatters are in a poor run of form – losing four of the last six matches, drawing two, failing to score in two and keeping zero clean sheets.

Luton are a team to target and Crystal Palace offer a range of different options from defence to attack. Between the sticks Sam Johnstone (£4.6m) could be a great option. The Englishman sits as the second highest scoring goalkeeper in the entire game so far. Crystal Palace have managed the joint most clean sheets so far this season (five) so selecting one of their defenders could also be wise. One of the cheapest routes to defence is Marc Guehi (£4.6m).

The standout attacker in the Crystal Palace attack is of course midfielder Eberechi Eze (£6.1m). Although a little pricier than his teammates he takes his sides penalties and set pieces. An alternative option in the front line is Jordan Ayew (£5.4m) who claimed a return in two of his three last matches. Leading the attack is Odsonne Edouard (£5.5m) who scored in his most recent match against Everton. He also started the season very well – returning in three of his first five games.

Cameron Archer & Dominic Solanke

Bournemouth and Sheffield United face-off in Gameweek 13 in what could be a game full of goals. This is due to the fact that both sides rank as two of the worst defences in the entire league. For example, both Bournemouth and Sheffield United rank amongst the worst three teams for goals conceded, shots in the box conceded and big chances conceded.

Leading the Bournemouth attack is none other than striker Dominic Solanke (£6.4m). Solanke scored twice in his most recent match against Newcastle which helped him to secure a 13-point haul. He is also on penalty duty. Leading the Blades frontline is Cameron Archer (£4.6m) who managed nine points in Gameweek 11 against Wolves due to his goal and bonus.

The Brighton attack

Brighton have proved time and time again they are one of the best teams to invest in from an offensive point of view. Although not dominating the goal scoring charts the Seagulls are still efficient – sitting as the fifth best in the division with 25. Their underlying data is also promising too – ranking second best in the league for shots on target.

Nottingham Forest lay ahead of Brighton albeit not the weakest side defensively they have still conceded at least two goals in three of their last four league matches.

Brighton have plenty of options to choose from coming into the game and that’s due to key injuries. One of those options is Simon Adingra (£5m). Not only has he started the last five matches in all competitions for Brighton but he’s also found the net three times in his last three. Another good pick is striker Joao Pedro (£5.3m) who is on penalty duty.
