Introduction
In the following article I will review the game week just gone and look ahead to GW8 in Sky Fantasy Football, enjoy!
GW7 Review
The weekend started off very slowly with Erling Haaland and Taiwo Awoniyi blanking. Salah, Rashford and Dunk also failed to return with the latter getting -1.
Thankfully, my fortunes turned around on Monday night with a double Chelsea clean sheet from Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill. Silva also returned a tackle tier and Colwill bagged an assist.
Unfortunately, Jordan Beyer couldn’t hold out for clean sheet against Luton on Tuesday but at just £6.6 million I’m very happy to own him in the long term.

GW8 Transfers and Captains
Firstly transfers, Bukayo Saka’s injury looks to have given me an easy route to buy Heung-Min Son or James Maddison and captain them on Saturday against Luton. The former would be my first choice, however, his minutes continue to be managed which may make me think twice. We do get the benefit of seeing the line-ups as its the 12.30 match.
This weekend also looks like the time to buy Aston Villa assets. I suspect moving off Chelsea assets for either Ollie Watkins or Moussa Diaby, ahead of the GW9 single game-day, will be a popular transfer. In my team, I could potentially sell Marcus Rashford, Colwill or Awoniyi.
Moving onto captaincy, as mentioned, if I buy a Spurs midfielder they will take my armband on Saturday. If Saka is passed fit and I don’t buy Son/Maddison then I will go with Rashford or Thiago Silva against Brentford or Burnley. On Sunday, we face a big decision. Haaland at Arsenal or Salah at Brighton. Right now my armband is on the latter…
Thanks for reading and good luck for the upcoming game week. Remember to set your captains and plan your transfers!
