EURO 2024 Fantasy Czechia Top Picks

In this article we take a look at the EURO 2024 Fantasy In this article we take a look at the EURO 2024 Fantasy Czechia top picks. Here we touch upon the recent form of Czechia, how they achieved qualification, highlight their best picks, and anything else of relevance.

Our EURO 2024 Fantasy Czechia top picks could be crucial for managers. Knowing how a team has been performing recently can be helpful. But, knowing who the best picks from each team can be essential for the tournament ahead.

To get a good idea of where Czechia are at, the last time they played in a World Cup was 2006. Although absent on the world stage their last EURO Finals came in the previous tournament (2021). There they finished third, falling just short of Croatia by just head-to-head record.

Czechia’ recent Nations League was poor. As we can see below they finished rock bottom after just one win and a huge 13 goals conceded. They were however competing against the likes of Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.

In Qualifying Czechia then finished second, behind Albania who edged them due to head-to-head record. Whilst there Czechia won four, drew three and lost one. They also managed 12 goals scored, six goals conceded and kept just four clean sheets.

Czechia followed that success up by winning all three of their last friendlies, scoring a huge 11 goals but keeping zero clean sheets in the process.

EURO 2024 Fixtures

Czechia start off their EURO 2024 campaign with their toughest opposition. Portugal are an increasingly growing force in international competitions and an example of that is their recent perfect EURO Qualifying in which they won 10 out of 10 of their matches.

They then go onto face Georgia. Georgia come into the competition yet to ever participate in a EURO or World Cup final stage. They also struggled to progress to the finals after finishing fourth in their Group and winning their play-off final via a penalty shootout.

Czech finish their campaign with a fixture against Türkiye. Türkiye have shown massive growth over the years – finishing first in their recent Nations League and EURO Qualifying Group. They have however failed to win any of their last three friendlies.

Top Picks – David Jurásek

The Czechia defence has struggled to maintain consistency recently and we can see that from their recent clean sheet stats. What makes things more confusing is that they have rotated their backline quite heavily over recent months which makes it even more difficult picking out a defender.

However, the standout option at the back for Czechia and a player who seems to be starting most matches recently is David Jurásek (€4.5m). As well as being €0.5m cheaper than teammate Vladimir Coufal, he also plays in a wing-back role so gets into some extremely attacking positions.

When is comes down to actual output Jurásek registered one assist for club last season and an assist in his EURO Qualifying campaign. He also sustained a ball recovery rate of 6.4 per game in Qualifying so has additional routes to points.

Tomáš Souček

11 goals in their last three matches and 1.5 goals per game during their Qualifiers could make Czechia and interesting investment when it comes to their frontline.

The standout attacking option for Czechia is Tomáš Souček (€6m). A huge portion of his appeal comes from the fact he takes corners, free kicks and penalties which can all be very promising routes to points in any given fixture.

Form suggests Soucek is much more effective for country than club. Whilst seven goals and two assists highlights a solid campaign for him with West Ham, Souček hit three goals and one assist in just eight Qualifiers for country.

With set pieces at his disposal, a good record in Qualifying and two great fixtures ahead, Tomáš Souček breezes into the EURO 2024 Fantasy Czechia top picks.

One to Watch – Patrik Schick

The Czech attack is certainly one to look out for, especially when their fixtures against Georgia and Türkiye arrive.

Spearheading their efficient frontline is striker Patrik Schick (€7m). Schick just came off the back of a record breaking season with club team Bayer Leverkusen, going unbeaten throughout the entire campaign.

In the club campaign mentioned above Schick amassed seven goals in 20 features. However, he is without a doubt Czechia’ biggest goal threat at international level after scoring four goals in five Qualifiers and banking two goals and three assists in his four World Cup Qualifiers.
