Community Team Reveal Gameweek 22 – FPL ElStatto

Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.

Ahead of Gameweek 22 it’s the turn of FPL ElStatto to tell us what he is doing to his team.

Hi ElStatto and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 21 go?

Currently sitting at 500k, it’s been an up-and-down season with a recent drop from 100k down to 1.2m but the last two weeks have been good, which can hopefully continue this week.

What does your defence look like?

I have double Newcastle defence at home to West Ham. This has been very profitable of late and it should be this week. Arsenal’s Ben White is one I’m looking to switch soon as I feel he may start rotating with Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Luke Shaw, with his Double Gameweek, offers two good chances of returns at both ends of the pitch.

Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?

I’ve brought in Martin Odegaard for Dejan Kulusevski this week, as I was without any Arsenal attacking options. Kaoru Mitoma came in last time and instantly returned – he’s bang in form and Bournemouth aren’t great defensively, so I think Brighton will score a few this week.

Kevin De Bruyne has been disappointing to own since the World Cup but, with Mohamed Salah also struggling, I’m happy to keep the Belgian for a bit longer – especially with their upcoming double.

Up front, the big guns of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland face each other this week, so I’m hoping for an open game with plenty of goals! There is a bit of a benching dilemma but I’ll demote Aleksandar Mitrovic due to him playing against my goalkeeper.

So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 22 and beyond?

Odegaard this week, with Mitrovic becoming Eddie Nketiah when Arsenal and Man City have their Double Gameweek 23.

Finally, what about captaincy?

The safest option would be to stick with Haaland but, with Rashford in great form and playing twice, I’m using this opportunity to go against the crowd and captain the Man United midfielder.

Good luck and thank you for the team reveal!
