Community Team Reveal Gameweek 14 – BlackWolf
Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 14, it’s the turn of BlackWolf to tell us what he is doing to his team.
Hi BlackWolf and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 13 go?
Like many, it was a poor gameweek for me, with only captain Erling Haaland and Aleksandar Mitrovic getting any returns. Unfortunately, I transferred out Leandro Trossard to bring in Phil Foden and kept Andreas Pereira’s haul rooted to my bench, leaving me with 49 points and a second successive red arrow. The margins between ranks are still very small though, so I’m not worried at this stage.
What does your defence look like?
I have the Newcastle double-up with Nick Pope and Kieran Trippier at home to Aston Villa, so hopefully they can keep another clean sheet. Joao Cancelo has a very nice fixture at Leicester with the potential for an attacking return.
My final decision is Matt Doherty versus Joachim Andersen. I’m currently starting the former but that may change once I see line-up predictions. Crystal Palace have been a disappointing defence of late and I prefer Doherty’s upside. However, his expected minutes are certainly a risk.
Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?
My midfield currently consists of Phil Foden, Jarrod Bowen, Gabriel Martinelli and Mohamed Salah. Ahead of that, my forward line is the popular trio of Haaland, Mitrovic and Ivan Toney.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 14 and beyond?
It’s going to be a late decision for me based on press conferences and potential early team news. I am most likely going to bring Bukayo Saka in for Bowen this week, in order to attack the Nottingham Forest fixture. If Haaland is ruled out in the short term, I’m fine with Andreas stepping into my XI.
Finally, what about captaincy?
As of now, Haaland is my captain. If there is no definitive news that Haaland will miss out, the armband will remain there. If he won’t play, the armband will move to Salah.
