Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 34 expert picks and team

With a new round ahead, we look at the latest edition of Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 34 expert picks and team thoughts. @FPLGunnersaurus (Jay) joins us to give his top picks for the Matchday ahead. In addition, he also shares his squad going into the new round with his general thoughts.

Twitter is full of the most experienced fantasy football players around. Those managers can be some of the best people to look to when trying to gain clarity when making our own decisions within our teams. Checking out the Matchday 34 expert picks can help hugely for the round ahead.

Top picks – Defenders – Ramy Bensebaini (12.8m / 2% owned / Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Bensebaini is a personal favourite of mine after returning 33 points (with the star) in MD31. After missing MD33 through suspension the Algerian should come back into the starting XI for which looks to be his last game (alongside Thuram) in a Gladbach shirt. If Gladbach have a good game as this fantasy manager expects, Bensebaini could be explosive.

Borna Sosa (13.6m / 11% owned / VfB Stuttgart)

The Croatian left-back missed their triumph over Mainz last time out due to a mouth/throat infection. Keep an eye on the Stuttgart press conference and if fit Sosa will start in a must-win game which would secure another year of Bundesliga football for Die Schwaben. Sosa performs much better at home as evident with his six double-digit fantasy returns at the Mercedes-Benz Arena this season. An alternative would be teammate Vagnoman.

Niklas Süle (11.6m / 4% owned / Borussia Dortmund)

With Bellingham back in individual training as of writing this article normal go-to Dortmund defender Guerreiro may not even be in the starting XI Saturday afternoon. Süle would make for a good replacement having picked up 37 points across his last four games, with a quarter of that coming from attempts on goal. Don’t be too surprised if we see a Süle bullet header nestle in the back of the net at some point.

Midfielders – Christopher Nkunku (17.8m / 52% owned / RB Leipzig)

Poised to make a move to Chelsea we say goodbye to a Bundesliga Fantasy legend this matchday. With a home game versus Schalke it was always going to be Nkunku who featured top of the midfield picks and is my MUST HAVE player of the week. Scoring and upsetting Bayern in MD33, fans of Die Roten Bullen will hope Nkunku can shine one last time and give them a perfect send off.

Julian Brandt (16.5m / 35% owned / Borussia Dortmund)

Brandt scored and returned 19 points in an impressive display against Augsburg. With a staggering 48 points across his last three games managers simply can’t afford to not own him on MD34 against Mainz. With question marks remaining over whether Bellingham will start Brandt could be the main man in midfield again.

Jonas Hofmann (17.8m / 25% owned / Borussia Mönchengladbach)

The second of three Gladbach picks. Hofmann kills it at home, averaging 12.7 points per game and has returned five 20 point+ hauls at Borussia-Park. Augsburg are expected to concede at least twice away from home with an away xGA of 2.05xGA. After a disappointing season, look for The Foals and Hofmann to sign off in style.

Forwards Sébastien Haller (14.8m / 10% owned / Borussia Dortmund)

One more win is all Dortmund need to break Bayern’s stranglehold over the title. The game’s most in-form forward spearheads that title charge on Saturday afternoon. Having scored five in his last three games Haller and his Dortmund team host a Mainz side who have conceded at least three goals in each of their last four games. Invest heavily in Die Schwarzgelben’s attack for the last matchday. Haller eases his way into my Matchday 34 expert picks.

Sheraldo Becker (13.2m / 10% owned / 1. FC Union Berlin)

If you’re looking for a final matchday differential look no further than the Surinamese Spider-Man Sheraldo Becker. Die Eirsernen are one win away themselves from a historic debut Champions League campaign and host Werder Bremen at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Last time out at home Becker returned 22 points, scoring twice and assisting twice. One more big haul to cement that UCL spot?

Marcus Thuram (13.8m ON SALE / 2% owned / Borussia Mönchengladbach)

You want someone more differential than Becker? How about an on-sale 2% owned Thuram with a tasty home game to round off the season against Augsburg? Thuram returned from injury and returned 11 points away in Leverkusen and 11 points is funnily enough his average return at home over his last five home games. If you’re brave enough to bet against the Dortmund and Bayern forwards.
