Who has the Best Fixtures?
Tottenham sit at the top of the ticker heading into the opening round. New boss Thomas Frank will be hoping to make a strong start against newly promoted Burnley. Whilst finishing in the bottom five last season, the London based were among the top eight sides for goals and total shots on target.
Another side who have an excellent opening fixture is the Hammers. West Ham finished their season strongly and they head into Gameweek 1 after winning three of their four pre-season games. Meanwhile, Sunderland will have to adapt to the league quickly after a busy summer of investment.
Everton should also catch the eye this week. Newly promoted Leeds don’t have it easy in the opening round as they clash with a stubborn Toffees sides. Everton have shown huge improvement since manager David Moyes took charge.
Other teams with a green fixture in Gameweek 1 include:
- Leeds v Everton
- Sunderland v West Ham
- Nottingham Forest v Brentford
- Arsenal v Manchester United
- Brighton v Fulham
- Manchester City v Wolves
- Chelsea v Crystal Palace
- Liverpool v Bournemouth
Who has the Worst Fixtures?
Bournemouth have the worst fixture in Gameweek 1 according to the fixture ticker. The Cherries have failed to convince during the summer, both from an investment and performance perspective. Meanwhile, Liverpool, the current Champions, have made significant investment heading into the clash.
Another side with a red fixture is Manchester United. Although facing off against one of best teams in the league based on last seasons final standings, Ruben Amorim has received a major boost across the board in attack, with some popular FPL names joining the fold.
Wolves are another side who have it tough. Whilst another injury to key player Rodri will likely dampen their overall mood, Pep Guardiola has new players at his disposal heading into the season. They’ll also be looking to bounce back after an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign.
