Best differentials for Gameweek 2

The Premier League season continues which means the fantasy season does too. With that in mind, we provide the best differentials for Gameweek 2 with the help of the Fantasy Football Scout fixture ticker and underlying stats.

Looking at the best differentials for Gameweek 2 can be really useful for fantasy managers. Differentials are lowly owned players (less than 10% owned) that can help towards gaining rank and an edge over your competition.

Fixtures

Below we can see that the ticker orders teams in fixture difficulty order – the teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest.

Luis Diaz – 7.8%

Liverpool showed great promise in the first 35 minutes of Gameweek 1. They played Chelsea but could have arguably put the game to bed in the early stages of the game. The Reds maintained relentless offensive stats last campaign. In fact, when compared to all teams they ranked third for goals (75), second for attempts on goal (605), first for shots in the box (432) and second for big chances total (125).

Bournemouth lay ahead in Gameweek 2 who conceded some of the worst defensive stats in the league last campaign. One player who could take advantage of that is Luiz Diaz (£7.5m). Not only did the Liverpool midfielder bag three goals in pre-season but he also scored in Gameweek 1 against Chelsea. With a good chance of starting again and up against one of last seasons worst defences Diaz could well be one of the best differentials for Gameweek 2.

Moussa Diaby – 7.8%

Aston Villa sit third on the fixture ticker which suggests they have the third easiest fixture of the round. They face Everton in Gameweek 2 who also conceded poor defensive stats last season. Amongst all sides in the division the Toffees ranked second worst for shots in the box conceded (394) and second worst for total attempts on goal conceded (576).

Moussa Diaby (6.5m) really impressed in pre-season scoring two goals in his first two games for his new club. The midfielder also scored against Newcastle in Gameweek 1 racking up a cool seven points. Diaby looks to be in top form and against a suspect Everton side could have huge potential.

Yoane Wissa – 6%

Brentford played a fantastic first game against Spurs in the opening round. The Bees were lethal offensively and that was telling as they put two goal past Spurs. The goal success could continue in round two with a match against Fulham.

Fulham may have exceeded many expectations last season but they still conceded the joint most big chances in the league. This stat is worrying for the Cottagers but could benefit striker Yoane Wissa (£6m). Wissa is the focal point to the Brentford frontline and he also managed nine points in Gameweek 1 after scoring and picking up three bonus points.

Solly March – 3.6%

Brighton put any doubts that they couldn’t continue their excellent attacking number of the 22/23 campaign to bed after their opening game. After blitzing newly promoted side Luton 4-1 in Gameweek 1 Brighton will have huge confidence going into their match against Wolves.

One player who is going hugely under the radar in terms of ownership is Solly March (£6.5m). The midfielder sustained some brilliant distribution stats last campaign and didn’t disappoint in Gameweek 1. March banked a huge nine points for finding the net and picking up a bonus point. With confidence on his side March could have good potential going into Gameweek 2.
