Best £6.5m Midfielders for FPL 2025/26

Finding value in midfield is crucial when building your Fantasy Premier League squad, and the £6.5m price bracket offers some standout options this season. In this guide to the Best £6.5m Midfielders for FPL 2025/26, we highlight the top picks who offer attacking threat, secure minutes, and strong opening fixtures – all without breaking the budget.

These players could become key enablers or even surprise differentials for Gameweek 1.

Iliman Ndiaye

Best £6.5m Midfielders for FPL 2025/26

Everton finished their 2024/25 campaign in great form under David Moyes – winning all of their final three matches and averaging two goals per game in their final four. Adding to their appeal this season is their starting schedule – facing just one tough fixture in their first six outings.

The above makes their assets extremely appealing at the start of the season, and their standout appears to be Iliman Ndiaye. Ndiaye was extremely clinical last season for the Toffees – converting a huge seven of his nine big chances into goals.

As well as this and having penalty duty, Ndiaye produced more defensive contributions than any other forward last season.

Ismaila Sarr

Best £6.5m Midfielders for FPL 2025/26

Crystal Palace’ FA Cup win last season marked an end to a 120-year major trophy drought since their founding. A big contributor towards this success was current manager Oliver Glasner, who seems to have the Eagles playing exactly how he wants them to.

Benefitting from Glasner’s system is Ismaila Sarr. Sarr appears to be finding his feet for both club and country – hitting an impressive five goals and three assists in his previous 10 matches.

Although facing Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Liverpool in their first six games, it doesn’t seem to have dampened his potential as he ranks above every other £6.5m midfielder for projected points during that period.

Mohammed Kudus

Tottenham may have finished 17th in the league last season but they offered plenty offensively – ranking among the top eight sides for total goals scored and among the top six for total shots on target. This is really promising when taking into account their early fixtures.

A match against Burnley in Gameweek 1 opens up a fabulous starting schedule. Whilst Thomas Frank and his men meet with Manchester City in Gameweek 2, their next ‘tough fixture’ isn’t until Gameweek 12.

New signing Mohammed Kudus may have potential. The Ghanian hit five goals and four assists for former side West Ham, but he ultimately under-performed when it came to expected goals. In a much better attack statistically and a good starting schedule, Kudus could really thrive this season.

Declan Rice

Best £6.5m Midfielders for FPL 2025/26

Arsenal don’t need much justification after another excellent season. The Gooners finished second in the Premier League last time out, whilst also racking up the third most goals.

Their schedule is mixed in terms of difficulty – coming up against Manchester United and Leeds in Gameweeks 1 and 2, but then Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle immediately after.

Arsenal have several exciting routes into their attack and one of them is Declan Rice. Rice takes some free-kicks and corners for his side, which added to his defensive contribution potential and 11 Premier League attacking returns last season, makes him a great pick with multiple routes to points.

More £6.5m Picks

  • Kaoru MitomaThree goals and an assist in his final four Premier League matches, and one goal in pre-season shows how effective he can be for Brighton who face Everton and Fulham in their first two games.
  • Enzo Fernandez – Chelsea ranked among the best sides in the league last season for underlying attacking data. Their Argentine could play in a number 10 role this season and goes into the new season off the back of two goals and four assists in his previous 10 games.
  • Jacob Murphy – Murphy was one of the most effective midfielders in the league last time out – hitting eight goals and 12 assists in his 35 fixtures. He also plays in a decent Newcastle side.
