Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 38

The hugely anticipated triple Gameweek is here and many managers just aren’t sure who to buy. For that reason, Birmingham fan @DanDave1989 comes in to share his Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 38

Knowing how Dan is setting up for the round ahead could be hugely helpful when it comes to selecting the best Birmingham assets, other great picks and captain, so let’s get into it.

Team Reveal

The Blues play Thursday, Sunday and Wednesday in this week’s GW. So really, you want to have two of their assets for sure.

In terms of my thoughts, Allsop will definitely play the three matches. We will see players get rotated so the likes of Cochrane, Laird, Davies, Dowell will play two in my opinion. Hanley has been promised game time and Davies missed out vs Burton. So, I am a little unsure on Klarer in terms of three matches. I think he is the leader at the back and if he starts vs Stevenage then could be worth gambling on for three starts.

It is hard to predict what will happen in the Blackpool away match. But, the Mansfield game being the last home game I expect we go first XI. If I am not confident in Klarer I would just go Allsop. I also think Stansfield could be one who gets the most minutes just due to going for the golden boot and he is young and hungry.

We may rotate the supporting cast but Jay feels like a good chance to gamble on the upside if he starts Thursday night. So for me I am edging towards Allsop/Klarer and Stansfield.

In terms of other teams, I really like Burton’s two home fixtures for sure. They have two teams at home who have struggled a lot of the season and don’t score too many goals. Burton have still got the motivation to win the matches to be safe in League 1. I think a defensive double up is fair.

I am not expecting high scoring games especially the wigan game. Sweeney feels like a lock and a genuine captaincy shout this week if unsure on the minutes of Birmingham assets.

I think I then go for their Goalkeeper or a second defender, depending on the Allsop/Klarer pick. So Crocombe Sweeney Klarer make up three of the back four at the moment. If I went for a defender Lofthouse is the one for me, his average points per game since at Burton is better than his overall average. He definitely has tackles and clearances in his locker so can get some decent points.

Onto the last three spots. Firstly my third defender pick is Kerr from Wigan. This spot is tricky as I don’t see a lot of clean sheets from the teams who double. It feels like you can go for Blackpool defenders who have higher defensive actions but lower clean sheet potential maybe but I think Kerr has both. He averages around 10 clearance per game over the last six games and picked up 53 points in that time.

Wigan matches just don’t have that many goals in them so I feel like a Wigan defensive asset is the play this week.

Now onto my two Midfielders. This is where the options are minimal in my opinion. I have chosen one of my favourite FEFL midfielders this season in Morgan from Blackpool. He is just very consistent and has many routes to points.

My second midfield pick is Poku. I actually do really like Peterborough’s fixtures from an attacking point of view. Poku is the kind of asset who definitely has that haul potential. I do wonder if he is motivated enough at this point of the season to perform. But, the lack of options just mean he is in my team at the moment.

The two team picks this week are pretty straight forward for me. Birmingham as I have mentioned have the TGW so you have three chances of points so definitely have to be one if you have a pick left.

The other team I have chosen are Burton just due to the motivation to win and the fact the fixtures do appeal. Two winnable home games so what is not to like!
