Introduction
The final international break of the season has finished and it’s time for the Fantasy home straight! In this article, I’ll review the Gameweek just gone and look ahead to the weekend in Sky Fantasy Football, enjoy!
Gameweek 29 Review
Going back to the blank Gameweek before the international break, there weren’t many points for anyone unfortunately. I went into the GW with just four players, they returned 13 points. That was actually more than my whole FPL team… Son (Saturday) and Watkins (Sunday) blanked as my captains. There’s not too much else to cover with it being such a small gameweek. As planned, I didn’t make any transfers.
Overall, I managed a ‘grey arrow’ – starting the weekend in 71st and ending the week in 71st! I’ve got 15 transfers left.

GW30 Preview
In contrast to the blank, low-scoring GW29, the upcoming week promises plenty of points. Between now and my next article there’s four match days (I’ll cover Thursday 4th April in my next article).
Firstly, focusing on captaincy. I’m expecting a bit of a split amongst engaged managers with Son (LUT), Palmer (BUR) and Watkins (WOL) all enjoying good home fixtures. My armband’s currently on Son because of Palmer’s fitness issues in the international break and Luton’s defensive injury crisis. Sunday is more simple, Salah (BHA) over Haaland (ARS) is straightforward in my opinion. Tuesday is slightly harder, Solanke (CRY) and Son (whu) are both good options. I’ve currently got my armband on the former because I think Richarlison could come in, forcing Son to the LW. Finally, next Wednesday, I’ll likely opt for Haaland (AVL) over an Arsenal player against Luton.
Moving onto transfers, I’ve got four planned. Firstly of all, I need Salah. He’ll come in for Watkins on Sunday. I’m also very keen on getting Van Dijk in for Bowen. In the midweek, Neto will become Raya and Zabarnyi will move to Rice to take advantage of Arsenal’s fixture gains. Due to budget constraints, I’ll have to wait on Bukayo Saka until Son is sellable on Sunday 14th.
Thanks for reading and good luck for GW30. Remember to finalise your teams and set your captains before Saturday’s 12.30pm deadline!
