Introduction
What a rollercoaster weekend! In this article, I’ll review the Gameweek just gone and look ahead to the weekend in Sky FF. Enjoy!
GW24 Review
The gameweek started off as expected with Haaland doing what Haaland does, netting a brace as captain for most on Saturday. More beneficial from Man City though was Ederson’s clean sheet, made more sweet by Areola’s -1 after I made the swap last Monday. Elsewhere, Groß scored from the spot to make it just one blank in his last 12 starts. He continues to be a ridiculously good Sky asset.
Then came the twist on Sunday as Arsenal blew away West Ham. Well done to those who held their assets, there were some crazy rank swings! Saliba (17) came in for me but I missed Saka’s brace. Captain Watkins wasn’t a complete disappointment, returning tier two shots but he should really have scored. Meanwhile, Palmer continued his fine season with two late assists on Monday Night Football, taking me to 104 points.
Overall, Saka’s haul on the Sunday meant a small drop in rank to 526th. Nothing to get too concerned about and the top 500 is firmly in reach heading into GW25!

GW25 Preview
Moving onto GW25, there’s five match days to cover before next week’s article.
Starting with captaincy. Despite it being against my own team, I can’t back against Haaland at home. He will be my captain on Saturday. On Sunday I’ve got a choice between my Brighton assets. I marginally favour Groß over Dunk now he’s on penalties and playing consistently in midfield, meaning a passing tier should be a given. Tuesday, I’ve got to go Van Dijk and Wednesday will obviously be Haaland again.
Monday night is tricky one but I’m not going to skip it. Moving to an Everton asset from Cole Palmer will be very popular for many and is what I’m looking to do. The name I have in mind is James Garner who has regularly picked up tackle tiers and has the odd attacking return. I’ll likely chain him onto a Wolves asset for their single game day in GW26. If you can get to Pickford though, I think he is probably the best option in isolation against lacklustre Palace attack.
I do have one other transfer planned (enforced) with the news Cunha is out for a “significant” period of time. I’ll be getting Ake in for the extra Man City fixture, hopefully he gets three starts now Gvardiol is sidelined.
Thanks for reading and good luck for GW25. Remember to finalise your teams and set your captains before Saturday’s deadline (12.30 GMT).
