Goalkeepers

Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) – Chelsea may have started off slow but they rank at the top of the fixture ticker from now until Gameweek 8. With this in mind Sanchez is a great cheap pick for the run ahead.

Matt Turner (£4m) – Turner is the most reliable £4m goalkeeper in the game in terms of minutes. He will only feature if Sanchez fails to.

Defenders

Ben Chilwell (£5.7m) – Only one other defender has a better non-penalty expected goal involvement than Chilwell so far. The full-back has a great set of fixtures and playing in his advanced role and taking corners could mean huge potential for managers.

Josko Gvardiol (£5m) – Manchester City also have brilliant fixtures and after keeping two clean sheets in two games, investing in Gvardiol, who looks set to start, could be a wise move.

Pervis Estupinan (£5.2m) – No defender has had more attempts on goal (five), created more chances (eight) or created more big chances (three) than the Brighton full-back. The fixtures may swing negatively but the attacking form of Estupinan cannot be ignored even with tougher fixtures.

Destiny Udogie (£4.5m) – Udogie is one of the cheapest and most reliable ways into the Tottenham backline. They have some great fixtures and Udogie also ranks fourth amongst defenders so far for touches in the opponents half (94).

Sven Botman (£4.5m) – Newcastle maintained one of the best defences in the league last season and their fixtures improve massively as we progress through the early stages of the season. With that in mind and taking into his cheap enabling price-tag Botman could be a great option long term.

Midfielders

Phil Foden (£7.5m) – Investing further into the Manchester frontline could be hugely rewarding especially because they were the best attack in the division last season. Foden looks set for gametime due to injuries and departures but also ranks joint first for chances created (nine) amongst all midfielders.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6m) – Brentford rank around mid-table for fixtures but their star man is in top form. Only one other player ranks above him for non-penalty expected goal involvement so far. Mbeumo takes his sides penalties and has already picked up three goasl from his first two matches.

Richarlison (£7m) – Tottenham face all three of the newly promoted teams in the run ahead. Because of this and the fact he leads the Tottenham frontline Richarlison could be a fantastic pick. The Brazilian may have had a quiet start but with easier fixtures he has much better potential.

Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) – Saka may have lost penalty duty but he is still their most direct and standout attacker. This is seen in the fact he already has a better non-penalty expected goal involvement than his offensive teammates (0.71). Arsenal have good fixtures and sustained one of the best attacks in the division last campaign.

Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) – Manchester United still rank quite highly on the fixture ticker so investing in their attack could be wise even with their rough start. Fernandes may be the most unluckiest player in the game after failing to return even though he ranks above every other player for non-penalty expected goal involvement (2.21) but it could be a matter of time before he cashes in on that. He also takes his sides penalties and set pieces.

Forwards

Erling Halaand (£14m) – The focal point to the best attack in the league and on penalty duty. The Norwegian is the standout captaincy option moving forward and so an essential.
