Best projected points for Gameweek 3

The new round of fantasy football is approaching so we take a look at the FPL players with the best projected points for Gameweek 3. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can pick out assets with the most potential for the fixtures ahead.

As we approach the new round fantasy managers are looking for the best players to include in their squads. Because of this looking at the projected points for Gameweek 3 can help bring clarity to some of your decisions.

Projected points for Gameweek 3

  • Erling Haland (£14m – Manchester City) – Haaland sits as the highest owned player in the game and after a blank against Newcastle in Gameweek 2 looks set for a big return. He is estimated 7.5 points against the newly promoted Sheffield United next.
  • Marcus Rashford (£9m Manchester United) – It has been a poor start to the season for the midfielder after failing to secure a return in the first two rounds. That may be the case but he faces Nottingham Forest next and ranks joint second for expected points with six.
  • Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m – Manchester United) – Similar to his teammate, Bruno has also failed to meet fantasy managers expectations. The Portuguese edges every other player in the game for non-penalty expected goal involvement so it could be a good week for him. He ranks level with Rashford for projected points (six).
  • Martin Ødegaard (£8.5m – Arsenal) – Arsenal face Fulham next who have had an unconvincing start to the campaign. The Norwegian looks to be on penalty duty now after taking and converting one in Gameweek 2. He is estimated to hit 5.8 points in Gameweek 3.
  • Bukayo Saka (£8.6m – Arsenal) – He may have lost penalty duty but Saka still leads his teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement so far. Saka ranks fifth on the list with an expected points of 5.7.

Who else looks set to return?

  • Phil Foden (£7.5 – Manchester City) – Foden could have much better expected minutes moving forward after recent departures from the club. The midfielder picked up an assist and all bonus in Gameweek 2 and looks set to continue his form with an expected points of 5.6.
  • Ben Chilwell (£5.7m – Chelsea) – The Blues have one of the easiest fixtures in the league this week against Luton. Because of this their players look set for a big week. One of them is full-back Chilwell who is playing on the left wing and is expected to hit 5.5 points in the round ahead.
  • Raheem Sterling (£7m – Chelsea) – It has been a poor start for Chelsea picking up just one point from four. However, one player who continues to progress in terms of performances is Sterling. The winger is set for 5.4 points against Luton.
  • Nicolas Jackson (£7m – Chelsea) – The final Chelsea player included in the top 10 is this man. Jackson leads the Chelsea attack and could be a popular transfer target within the community this week (5.3 points).
  • Gabriel Martinelli (£8m) – Arsenal’ game against Fulham could bring in plenty of returns for the Arsenal attackers. Finishing off the list is Martinelli who could pick up 5.3 points in Gameweek 3.
