UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 12
We look at the UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 12. The new Champions League Fantasy round is coming quickly. Here we try and find some of the best lowly owned players within the game ahead of Matchday 12.
Finding the best differentials for Matchday 12 can be key to gaining rank. For that reason, it’s really important to find some of those hidden gems within the game that most won’t select. This way we have an edge over our competition.
Brahim Diaz
AC Milan go into Matchday 12 needing a win after being comfortably beaten in the first leg 2-0. Many will be expecting a completely different performance from Milan as they were nowhere near their usual standard.
Whilst the return of star man Raphael Leao (€8.5m) makes him a great option, it also has a hugely positive effect on the offensive line. Another player who could benefit from Leao’s return is Brahim Diaz (€6.2m). Diaz has started the last five Champions League matches for his side, indicating his minutes are assured. The attacker also bagged two returns in the same five games mentioned above. With the motivation to win the game and the minutes to produce returns, Diaz could be a fantastic differential for Matchday 12.
Edin Dzeko
It was a huge win for Inter in the first leg as they beat their rivals Milan 2-0. What is even more significant is that their victory was their sixth in a row in all competitions. During that same six-match period they also bagged a huge 17 goals, highlighting their recent goal threat.
Many managers within the community will be looking to Lautaro Martinez (€8.5m) but some aiming to go different could select fellow striker Edin Dzeko (€7.5m). The Bosnian hitman has scored three goals in his last two starts, suggesting an uptake in his overall form. His opponents have to win which means the space they leave behind could be exploited by an Inter attacker and Dzeko could just be the one to benefit from that.
Bernardo Silva
Manchester City have a tough task ahead of them. They face Champions League holders Real Madrid in the second leg. Although that is the case, the English side are maintaining some of the best form in Europe. In fact, Manchester City have won eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions.
To highlight their scoring form, Manchester City have netted 26 times in the same 10-match period as above. This averages at 2.6 goals scored per game. Buying into the Manchester City attack will be key but whilst many back the likes of Kevin De Bruyne (€10.5m) and Jack Grealish (€7.9m) some could go for Bernardo Silva (€8.3m). The Portuguese international has become integral to the right side of their attack and with an 11-point haul under his UCL belt already this season, Silva certainly has the explosiveness to return big.
Ilkay Gundogan
Not only do Manchester City go into their second leg as favourites to progress, which bodes well for longevity amongst their assets, but they are also sustaining some incredible scoring stats at home. An example of that is that in their last 10 home matches in all competitions, they have found the net 34 times.
The total above averages at 3.4 goals scored per home match. Because of this and their imperious form, buying into their offensive line is advised. Again, many will be looking at the obvious options to maintain rank but for those chasing ground, they could pick Ilkay Gundogan (€8m). The German midfielder has collected five four or more point returns in his UCL campaign so far. He also bagged a brace in his most recent Premier League game against Leeds.
