All 15 players should be featuring twice in Double Gameweek 36.
There’s a triple-up on Man City, as they aim to recover from Wednesday’s devastating loss in Madrid by disposing of Newcastle and Wolves. Defenders Joao Cancelo and Aymeric Laporte are in, as the latter has seemingly recovered from cramp. Cancelo totalled 25 points from the reverse meetings with these two opponents, with the reigning champions keeping a pair of clean sheets. In fact, his biggest haul of the season arrived at St James’ Park, as a further goal and assist took him to 18 points.
Kasper Schmeichel gets the nod in goal because Leicester plays twice at home to sides in the relegation zone. Neither Trent Alexander-Arnold nor Marcos Alonso needs justifying, as both are outrageously attacking ‘defenders’.
Two premium midfielders are in this 4-4-2 formation. Mohamed Salah will likely be the runaway captaincy choice amongst the masses, considering his good history against Spurs and Aston Villa. Additionally, Kevin De Bruyne has four goals and four assists from his last six league starts.
The battle for fourth place makes it a competitive Double Gameweek for Dejan Kulusevski and Bukayo Saka. Whereas the Spurs man is picked over Son Heung-min for budgetary reasons, Arsenal’s Saka is heavily-relied upon to secure Champions League football for the Gunners.
Team mate Eddie Nketiah is up front. His only league starts of the season have been their last four outings. Although a starting place isn’t guaranteed, his generous £5.5m price enables FPL managers to put big money elsewhere.
Simply put, Everton needs Richarlison‘s goals to stay up. Four have arrived recently, whilst no one has had more attempts, shots on target, shots inside the box or expected goals since Gameweek 31. Trips to Leicester and Watford are hard to ignore.
On the bench, cheap options Ben Foster, Mason Holgate and Anthony Gordon also play twice. A bit more money goes on Teemu Pukki, whose four goals from eight matches have gone under the radar.
