Team Reveal GW33 – Free Hit time for Ryan (Football Chatbox)
Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 33 it’s the turn of Ryan (Football Chatbox) to tell us what he is doing to his team.
Hi Ryan and thanks for the team reveal. Firstly, how did Gameweek 32 go?
Pretty bad, I got absolutely destroyed by not owning Son Heung-Min even though I captained Harry Kane and had Dejan Kulusevski in my team. A red arrow took me from 15,537th to 24,740th in the world. Hopefully the Free Hit chip I’m activating this week can give me a green one.
Secondly, do you like your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?
Well, it’s a Free Hit team and I’m still unsure about the third defensive spot. I don’t think Alex Telles is the best option, as I’m not confident in Man United’s clean sheet ability. However, with not many other good Double Gameweek options in defence and with Telles more than likely to play 180 minutes, I have decided to have him – at least for now. However, I could still move him out if my stream convinces me of someone else is better. The rest of the Free Hit, I think I’m happy with.
I think in this team, Mohamed Salah is going to be my main problem. I need to hope that he doesn’t do as much damage as in the reverse fixture against Man United. Although I don’t have much hope that he’ll be kept completely quiet.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 33 and beyond?
For Gameweek 34, it will depend on whether Chelsea double. If so, I’ll be looking to bring Kai Havertz in alongside Joao Cancelo, who is destroying my rank by not having him. If Chelsea doesn’t double, then it would be Son who comes into my team alongside Cancelo for a hit. Apart from that, I haven’t yet thought about what to do for the other weeks as there are still many moving parts with regard to fixtures. With this in mind, I still have another Free Hit and Bench Boost chip to play.
And finally, what about captaincy?
Bruno Fernandes will be my choice of captain, given his solid recent numbers and his ranking of second for expected points this week. He is just behind Ronaldo, who I also have on my Free Hit. It’s a choice between the two and I’m going with the midfielder as he gets the extra point for a goal and an extra point for a potential clean sheet.
