Strong Fixtures

LEICESTER

Of the seven sides to play twice during this Gameweek, the Foxes arguably have the nicest pair. However, they do come with complications in that they’re both away from home and will likely include rotation alongside their Europa Conference League adventures. By the time they visit Newcastle, we’ll know whether they are still in or have been eliminated. The latter could see mass investment in Harvey Barnes or James Maddison, knowing Leicester have three Double Gameweeks during the final six rounds.

NEWCASTLE

Eddie Howe’s side has two winnable home matches against Leicester and Crystal Palace. With safety not yet secured, there is no reason for anything less than 100% effort and therefore both Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser should be nailed-on starters. Perhaps a cheap defender like Fabian Schar can bring both clean sheet potential and attacking returns, as in recent weeks.

Weak Fixtures

NORWICH

Dismissing the three sides without a Gameweek 33 match – Leeds, Aston Villa and Wolves – Norwich have the hardest time. They play once and it’s a trip to Man United, knowing that relegation feels inevitable and the hosts have fourth place to chase. Teemu Pukki could be a solid investment in general but don’t purchase him until next week.

BRIGHTON

The Seagulls do actually play twice but they’re away to Tottenham and Man City, so there are not many temptations for an already-unattractive FPL team. For example, defensive assets are extremely unlikely to clean sheet, with forward Neal Maupay prone to rotation.
