Fantasy5 Picks GW27: Raul Jimenez favoured to score past West Ham

Pick five Premier League players to beat their Fantasy5 ‘points target’ and you could win a prize of up to £10,000.

We love alternative challenges at Fantasy Football Community, so we really enjoy the Fantasy5 game. It’s a free-to-play challenge, where each week you select a player from five matches who you back to beat their designated ‘points target’. It follows the exact same scoring system as FPL but without bonus points.

Get all five correct and you get a split of the £10,000 jackpot prize. Full terms and conditions are here.

In the meantime, we attempt to suggest five successful picks.

GAMEWEEK 27 FANTASY5 PICKS

  • Man United v Watford
  • Brentford v Newcastle
  • Brighton v Aston Villa
  • Everton v Man City
  • West Ham v Wolves

Deadline is 15:00 (GMT) on Saturday 26 February.

One of last week’s selection successfully beat their points target – Bruno Fernandes. He was one of seven to do so, with three from Man United, three from Tottenham’s win at Man City plus Norwich’s Milot Rashica. On the other hand, neither of the selected Andrew Robertson nor Harvey Barnes took part in their matches.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo has been a poor FPL option of late, his 6.5 target still looks good against Watford (H). The Hornets seemed to have turned a corner defensively with two recent clean sheets but have just lost 4-1 at home to Crystal Palace. Jadon Sancho (7.5) could also be a good shout.

Newcastle can overtake Brentford if they beat the Bees and Ryan Fraser (6.5) has been a key figure of late. In fact, he has started their last eight league games and there is uncertainty over whether Allan Saint-Maximin (6.5) will be fit. Brighton v Aston Villa is tough to predict – especially with Danny Ings (6.5) starting over Ollie Watkins (6.5) last week – so attacking wing-back Tariq Lamptey (6.5) might be worth a punt.

Elsewhere, Man City are so heavily-backed to win, it has resulted in high points targets for Kevin De Bruyne (10.5), Raheem Sterling (10.5), Riyad Mahrez (9.5) and Phil Foden (9.5). Let’s go with Everton’s Anthony Gordon (5.5) because football is like that.

Michail Antonio (6.5) certainly won’t be backed to net against Wolves, with just 2 goals from 17 matches and a record of never scoring against Wolves in the top flight. However, Raul Jimenez (6.5) scored the only goal of their Gameweek 12 clash.
