Key moments – first half

  • The match gets underway.
  • Wolves have started brightly with plenty of positioning in the Man United half.
  • CHANCE! Man United’s Christian Eriksen (£6.3m) whips in a ball from the corner and fellow midfielder Casemiro (£4.9m) makes headed contact but his attempt flails over the bar.
  • CHANCE! Man United midfielder Alejandro Garnacho (£4.3m) find himself in a one-on-one situation after a defensive error but goalkeeper Jose Sa (£5m) makes himself big to prevent what should have been a goal.
  • Wolves defender Nelson Semedo (£5m) picks up a yellow card for his foul.
  • Wolves are getting into some great areas in the final third but their end product has been an issue.
  • CHANCE! Alejandro Garnacho crosses the ball across Jose Sa and the ball drops right in front of Antony Martial who somehow misses the ball completely. It should have been 1-0.

  • The second half gets underway.
  • There is a significant change as Marcus Rashford enters the field of play.
  • CHANCE! Man United midfielder Anthony (£7.5m) meets a ball that ricochets from a Jose Sa save, but misses the target.
  • Man United are looking far more threatening after the introduction of Marcus Rashford.
  • Casemiro receives a yellow card for his foul.
  • CHANCE! The resulting free kick from Casemiro’s challenge is struck well by midfielder Ruben Neves (£5.5m) but David De Gea (£4.9m) makes a fantastic save.
  • Man United are building in confidence as they pin Wolves into their own box.
  • There has been a significant change as Hugo Bueno is substituted off, securing his clean sheet.
  • GOAL! Marcus Rashford drives into the box and forces his shot past Jose Sa! Man United lead 1-0!
  • Marcus Rashford bundles the ball into the Wolves goal but after reviewing, VAR rules the goal out.
  • Marcus Rashford picks up a yellow card.
  • CHANCE! A massive chance falls to Wolves striker Raul Jimenez (£6.7m) as his header from the corner is stopped by David De Gea.
  • The whistle blows for full time and Man United win 1-0.
