Who had the best stats in Gameweek 20

We look at who had the best stats in Gameweek 20. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area, we take a look at some of the players that topped the key attacking stats from the latest round in FPL. Stats will include underlying data points like shots on target, chances created and other important stats to give us an indication of which players did well.

Looking at who had the best stats in Gameweek 20 can indicate which players did well. Even if the players who topped the stats didn’t return any points. This can be a good sign that the players were close to returning. FPL managers are always on the lookout for assets that could potentially return in the future. This could help with that.

Kieran Trippier

Newcastle continued their blistering first half of the season this week in their 1-0 win against the in-form Fulham. One player also maintained his fantastic run. Kieran Trippier (£6m) has now picked up a return in every one of the last seven matches in the league.

Amongst all players in the league this Gameweek, Trippier ranks first for crosses (15), joint first for successful crosses (four), joint first for chances created (four) and joint second for big chances created (one). Trippier bagged nine points in FPL for his efforts.

Moran Gibbs-White

Nottingham Forest have turned the tide of their fate in recent matches. The newly promoted side have lost just one of their last five matches whilst also winning three and drawing to Chelsea. Things are on the up and Morgan Gibbs-White (£5.5m) has contributed to that.

The midfielder was fantastic in Gameweek 20 as they beat Leicester 2-0. Amongst all players in the league this week, Morgan-Gibbs White ranks joint first for chances created (four) and joint first for big chances created (two). He was rewarded for his great performance with a huge 10-point return in FPL from his two assist and one bonus.

Callum Wilson

Newcastle are winning matches, even when their not at their best which is a sign of a top team. Every top team needs a good finisher but things haven’t gone that way for Callum Wilson (£7.2m) as of late due to injuries and a lack of minutes from that.

Although that has been the case, Callum Wilson played a huge part in Newcastle’s win over Fulham this week. Amongst all player in the league this Gameweek, the striker ranked first for attempts on goal (seven) and first for shots in the box (seven). Wilson failed to score but still picked up five FPL points due to his assist.

Kai Havertz

Chelsea came into their match against Crystal Palace needing to win. The Blues had failed to register a victory in their last three back-to-back matches. However Chelsea dug deep and claimed three points in their 1-0 win.

One player who has been under the microscope since joining Chelsea is Kai Havertz (£7.8m). The striker has been disappointing in front of goal this season. However, this week amongst all players in the league he ranked joint third for attempts on goal (five), joint second for shots in the box (five) and joint second for big chances total (two). Kai Havertz was rewarded for his top stats with a goal and six-point return in FPL.
