Arsenal and Manchester City Dumped Out of the Champions League!

UCL Fantasy watchlist

Looking at some of the players that UCL Fantasy managers would do well to keep a close eye on. With most leagues now started we can start monitoring the performances of teams and their key players. We’ll see which players are showing early signs of being great assets.

With the official fantasy game arriving soon UCL managers would benefit massively from monitoring players before the Champions League starts. This gives them a good idea of which players they could select based on their form, team form or consistency in the Champions League.

Son-Tottenham

Tottenham manager Conte hasn’t always had a great record in the Champions League, far from it. However with the relentless investment in the transfer market he seems to be building something special at Spurs.

Son came in the top three for highest points returned in FPL last season which is no easy feat. Sharing the golden boot with Liverpool’s Salah the South Korean has started the season well. With an assist already in his opening fixture against Southampton Son should be on every managers watchlist.

Goncalo Ramos-Benfica

Benfica have recently wiped the floor with FC Midtjylland in a Champions League qualification match. The Portuguese giants came away with a 6-2 win. One of the standout performers for Benfica is Goncalo Ramos.

The Portuguese 21 year old may be recognised by UCL Fantasy managers for his extremely low budget price tag last season. Ramos has now played all of the matches to date for Benfica this season. This trust was only repaid in fantastic performances. The attacker managed six goals and three assists in the seven matches he’s played so far. This meant Ramos hit more attacking returns than games played.

Goncalo Ramos should be on every UCL managers watchlists especially if Benfica do progress. The forward is likely to come in at a very good price as well.

Benzema-Real Madrid

Real Madrid proved to be one of the best teams in Europe again last season after claiming the Champions League. Many thought Real Madrid couldn’t match the big English clubs but went onto beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City. Arguably the best teams in England.

The 34 year old forward contributed a large part of the goals scored by Real Madrid. Last season in La Liga the Frenchman hit 27 goals and 12 assists in 32 matches. 39 goal contributions meant that Benzema outperformed his match played total. With two goals in his two pre-season games already UCL managers will have to have him on their watchlists.

Mohammed Kudus-Ajax

Ajax became the home to many UCL managers budget big value players last season. The likes of forward Haller and defender Mazraoui came in at fantastic prices and performed well for the UCL community. After losing key players this season Ajax are worth monitoring alone.

Young attacker Kudus could be one to watch for UCL managers. The young Ghanaian had a fantastic pre-season for the Dutch champions. In the five matches Ajax have played so far Kudus manged to score four goals. The talent is there and the price could be even more attractive.

Neymar-PSG

PSG have been pushing for a Champions League win for some years. The attack of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar means UCL fantasy managers are always thinking hard on which one to select. PSG started the new campaign really well.

In their five matches so far PSG not only managed to win them all but score between three-six goals in four of those matches. Brazilian star Neymar netted five goals and created a further four assists. This lead to a whopping nine goal contributions on the five matches he was involved in. With nearly two returns in every match so far on average Neymar has to get added to those watchlists.
