UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 Best Budget Players

With the new round just around the corner we take a look at some of the UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 best budget players. Using fixtures, stats, and team and player from we reveal some of budget picks with the most potential for the round ahead.

It could be extremely difficult to get all of the players you want into your squads at times which is why finding the UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 best budget players can be absolutely essential. Budget players are great but finding cheap picks with massive potential could be even more beneficial.

Feyenoord

Feyenoord claimed the Eredivisie title last season which eventually earned them their place amongst the top teams in Europe this campaign. In terms of their 23/24 domestic form the Dutch side have played 10 matches, scored a huge 33 goals (averaging 3.3 goals scored per match), conceded just eight goals and bagged four clean sheets.

Feyenoord have been an exciting team to watch in Europe – winning two of their first three matches and impressing in their 3-2 loss against Atletico. They face Lazio in Matchday 4, a team they comfortably beat in the most recent round.

With the above in mind Feyenoord are a team we should be looking to invest in, especially from a budget perspective. If looking for defenders then left-back Quilindschy Hartman (€4.6m) could be the go-to. The Dutchman has registered three assists and one goal already this season, a very good return when compared to other attacking defenders in Europe. Some could also be tempted by Lutsharel Geetruida (€4.6m). Although playing at centre-back doesn’t seem appealing he too has managed four goal contributions this season.

For those tempted by the free-scoring attack then central midfielder Quinten Timber (€5m) could be of interest. Timber may be playing in midfield but he loves to advance into attacking areas. A good example of that is the fact he’s racked up six attacking returns already this season. The standout attacker at a relatively low price-tag is Calvin Stengs (€6.2m). Stengs plays just behind the striker and has already accumulated 19 points in just three Champions League matches. The youngster has also collected 11 goal contributions in all competitions (four goals and seven assists).

Leipzig

Leipzig are another side in great form. In the nine matches they have played in the Bundesliga they have scored a huge 25 goals, averaged 2.8 goals scored per game, averaged just 0.8 goals conceded per game and kept five clean sheets so far.

Its been a solid start to their Champions League campaign so far. Although losing to the current Champions League holders Manchester City Leipzig have dispatched both of their other two competitors. They face Crvena Zvezda again this week after a 3-1 victory against the same opposition in Matchday 3.

Goalkeeper potential is quite scarce this week in general but man between the sticks Janis Blaswich (€4.5m) could have some. The German side also have some very good defensive options too. One of them is left-back David Raum (€4.5m). Not only does he take his sides corners but so far he’s amassed a huge seven goal contributions this season. Interestingly three of his attacking returns have all come in the last three matches. Benjamin Henrichs (€4.6m) is also a very good option. The German right-back has also bagged seven goal contributions this season.

In attack some could consider central midfielder Xaver Schlager (€5.6m). Schlager plays in a central midfield role but loves to shoot from outside the box. We saw exactly that when he scored from outside the box in Matchday 1. He is also a very strong route to ball recoveries as well – amassing 18 so far this season. The standout attacker is Xavi Simons (€6.5m). At just 20-years-old Xavi has already produced three goals and six assists in just nine Bundesliga matches. He also bagged a 12-point return in Matchday 3 for his goal and assist.

Real Sociedad

Another side going under the radar is Real Sociedad. They had a fantastic 22/23 domestic season which ultimately led to their qualification. This season after 11 matches, they have netted 20 goals, average 1.8 goals per match and have banked four clean sheets.

Real Sociedad are seemingly one of those teams that enhance their performances in Europe. In a tough group with the likes of Benfica, Inter, and Salzburg Real Sociedad have won two of their three and remain unbeaten. Benfica lay ahead for the Spanish side and although historically very strong that does not seem to be the case this season. In fact, not only have Benfica lost all three of their UCL games so far but they have failed to score a single goal as well.

Real Sociedad are a treasure chest of budget options this season. Between the sticks is Alex Remiro who comes in at the cheapest playing price in the game (€4m). Remiro has banked two clean sheets and averaged five points per game so far. Another great defensive pick is full-back is Hamari Traore (€4.5m). Not only has he also kept two clean sheets but he’s also managed a huge 22 ball recoveries already.

In attack, the cheapest route in is midfielder Ander Barrenetxea (€4.5m). He plays his football on the left-wing and has started all three of his sides UCL matches. Barrenetxea also scored in three of his first five La Liga matches this season as well as securing an assist in each of his last two matches. Another cheap way into the attack is striker Takefusa Kubo (€5m). The Japanese attacker has collected an impressive 11 goal contributions for club and country this season.
