With only two captaincy options in Matchday 9 managers could be looking to move more conservatively with their selection. The safest player to give the armband to from Benfica is midfielder Joao Mario (€6.4m). Mario has notched up an impressive 17 goals and six assists domestically, mustering up seven goals and three assists in his last 10 games. The standout option from the frontline is Victor Osimhen (€7.9m), The Nigerian frontman is the focal point to the Napoli attack and has racked up eight goals and one assist in his last 10 matches in all competitions. His opponent, AC Milan, have shown huge inconsistencies all season and because of that could be a team to target.

The second half of Napoli’s deadly duo could also be considered for captaincy. Khvicha Kavaratskhelia (€5.9m) has been a sensation this campaign and similar to his teammate, has perked the interest of Europe’s elite clubs. The Georgian has managed four goals and two assists in his last 10 matches. The winger also takes his teams penalties giving him an additional route to points.
