Transfers and Gossip up to July 20th

As we approach the new season around Europe and the rest of the world, many will be looking to buy, loan or sell players. We catchup with the transfers and gossip up to July 20th with the help of top tier source Fabrizio Romano and other reliable sources.

Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to July 20th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.

Harvey Barnes to Newcastle

David Ornstein confirms that Newcastle have reached an agreement with Leicester to sign Harvey Barnes. He adds that the deal is worth in the region of £38m and personal terms will not be problem when it comes to it.

The 25-year-old is predominately a left-sided winger. The former ‘Foxes’ man impressed last season with 13 goals and one assist. Many managers within the FPL and UCL Fantasy community will be monitoring his early performances and minutes.

Riyad Mahrez close to leaving Manchester City

David Ornstein also announced the news that Saudi Club Al Ahli have reached a total agreement with Manchester City to sign Riyad Mahez. He also notes that the deal for the Algerian is worth €30m plus €5m in add-ons.

Riyad Mahrez has played a huge part of Manchester City’ history helping them to claim multiple domestic trophies and their most recent Champions League win. The loss of Mahrez could boost the appeal of other assets like Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez in both FPL and UCL Fantasy moving forward.

Is Danjuma on his way to Everton?

Fabrizio Romano states that Everton are closing in on a deal for Arnaut Danjuma. He also understands that the bid has been accepted and that it is going to be a loan move. Danjuma believes this move is the best one for his career.

Danjuma impressed in his time for Villarreal scoring 10 goals and creating three assists in the same season he bagged six goals in the Champions League. Predominantly a left-side winger Danjuma struggled to maintain gametime at Spurs but that could change with a move to Everton. FPL managers could show some interest in Danjuma depending on fixtures and price.

Matt Doherty re-joins Wolves

Fabrizio Romano confirms that Matt Doherty has returned back to Wolves. The deal is a free transfer and his medical is being completed. Doherty spent some time at Tottenham last season before joining Atletico Madrid for the remainder of the campaign.

In the 15 matches he played in the 21/22 season he picked up two goals and four assists reflecting solid attacking potential. Doherty is expected to come in at £4.5m and with great fixtures could become an interesting fantasy prospect again.

Milos Kerkez joins Bournemouth

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted since the tweet below but the tweet below details the terms of the deal more clearly. Milos Kerkez is officially a Bournemouth player for the new season after signing a deal worth £15.5m.

Kerkez is a 19-year-old Hungarian who predominantly plays in a left full-back and wing-back role for club and country. He managed three goals and one assist for Dutch club AZ Alkmaar last season and averaged a key pass per game for his country.
