Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 24

Last modified date

The Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks in each position for GAFFR Gameweek 24 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 24 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Top Picks – Defenders – Kyle Walker-Peters (£7.1m)

Southampton look like one of the best teams to invest in defensively. The Saints have kept an impressive four clean sheets in the last six league games and they play home this week against Swansea. One of the best routes into the Southampton defence is Kyle Walker-Peters who has managed two goals and two assists already this season.

Perry NG (£5.8m)

Cardiff may be inconsistent but they have a game against Plymouth next up. Plymouth recently departed with their manager but they are also awful away from home. In fact based on the away table Plymouth would be 22nd in the division. With that in mind Perry Ng could be a great option and we can see how consistent he has been in the fact he ranks as the second highest scoring defender in the game.

Differential Defender Pick – Milan van Ewijk (£6m)

Coventry seem to be improving recently – winning two of their last four and remaining unbeaten. They face 23rd place Sheffield Wednesday next up which is a great opportunity for Milan van Ewijk. The Dutchman has created two assists in his last six matches so also has attacking threat.

Midfielders – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£8.1m)

There isn’t much to say about Leicester than we already have. However, after a slight blip where the Foxes lost two games they went onto win five of their next six. They also scored at least three goals in all four of their last matches which makes investment essential. The standout player is of course Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who has managed a whopping 179 points.

Crysencio Summerville (£8.9m)

Preston are looking like a team to target recently. In fact, in their last seven matches they have lost five of their games and conceded between 2-5 goals. Who better to target Preston than the highest scoring player in the game, Summerville. Summerville could also be the standout captaincy option.

Differential Midfielder Pick – Callum O’Hare (£7.4m)

Coventry aren’t just in great form but they are also scoring goals recently – netting seven in their last four. One player who has been influential for them is Callum O’Hare who bagged three goals and one assist in his last four matches.

Forwards – Joel Piroe (£10m)

Leeds have a meeting with Preston next, a team in woeful defensive form. The Leeds assets have huge potential this week and another who could do well is Joel Piroe who has netted nine times in his 23 matches this season.

Adam Armstrong (£10.2m)

Southampton have massive motivation going into any given game due to the fact they are chasing automatic promotion. The Saints main man is Adam Armstrong of course who is set for a brilliant season. The striker has bagged at least one return in nine of his last 10 matches which reflects how relentless he has been.

Differential Striker Pick – Haji Wright (£8.2m)

Sheffield Wednesday have shipped a mammoth 37 goals this season which is more than enough to target from an attacking perspective. Because of that we could also consider Haji Wright. Wright has also been impressive recently – scoring and registering an assist in his last three matches.
