Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 13

The new Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 13 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 13 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Top picks – Defenders – Leif Davis

Ipswich continue their blistering start to the Championship as they sit second in the league. Not only are they one of the top scorers in the division but they have also conceded just 13 goals which is one of the lowest too.

Leif Davis (£5.2m) remains as the highest scoring defender in the game with 72 points. A lot of Davis’ tally comes from a huge five assists and its his assist potential which gives him an edge over other options. Davis has a great opportunity to extend his form with a match against Bristol City next.

Darnell Furlong

West Brom face QPR next whom have lost six of their last 10 Championship matches. In that same period they also racked up a measly five goals reflecting bluntness in front of goal. The Baggies are looking like one of the best defences in the league lately, keeping five full clean sheets in their last six games.

With the above in mind it could be wise to invest in the West Brom defence. One way of doing just that would be via Darnell Furlong (£6m). Although expensive he looks assured for at least one clean sheet this week and he’s already shown threat this season with a goal and an assist as well.

Differential defender – Cody Drameh

A good differential defender option this week could be Cody Drameh (£6m). Birmingham have actually had a decent start to the campaign as they sit eighth in the league and they could improve that in their next match against Hull. Their right-back Drameh has also registered two assists in his last three matches showing an uptake in creative output.

Midfielders – Crysencio Summerville

Leeds look right back at it in the Championship after winning all of their last three games and climbing all of the way up to third place. One of their most influential players during that period was Crysencio Summerville (£8.6m). The 21-year-old has bagged three goals and one assist in his last three matches reflecting his fine form.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester are clear of every other team in the Championship and there’s no doubt about that. Sunderland lay ahead and although having a great season they have conceded a huge six goals in the last two matches. As always the best way to invest in the Leicester attack is with the player sitting on more points than any other in game (101 points).

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£7.9m) has been fantastic this season and a very reliable captaincy option. Most of his GAFFR tally comes from five goals, four assists and a hatful of bonus points.

Differential midfielder – Grady Diangana

The QPR fixture could be a perfect one to target this week. Not only have they been really struggling for results but they’ve also conceded two or more goals in five of their last 10 matches. One player who could take advantage of that is Grady Diangana (£8.6m). Someone needs up due to the injury of main man John Swift and that man could be Diangana.

Forwards – Morgan Whittaker

The biggest appeal of this next pick is the fact it’s Sheffield Wednesday that we are targeting. Sheffield Wednesday sit rock bottom of the division with just three points and a huge 19 goals conceded. They are a team to target and Morgan Whittaker (£6.2m) could be the key. The 22-year-old has already amassed a cool four goals and three assists this season which shows just how good he’s been for Plymouth.

Georginio Rutter

Leeds aren’t just in great form but they’re also scoring plenty of goals. In fact, in four of their last six wins Leeds have netted three or more times. They come up against a leaky Stoke who have picked up just one clean sheet this season and because of that Georginio Rutter (£9m) could have huge potential. Rutter Leads the Leeds attack and has bagged six attacking returns in his last 10 matches.

Differential forward – Kelechi Iheanacho

Finding just one way into the in-form Leicester attack may not be enough, The Foxes have managed to net 12 times in their last four matches, averaging three goals scored per game. Kelechi Iheanacho (£11.4m) should be set for a start after his recent run of a goal scored in each of his last five matches for both club and country.
