Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 37, it’s the turn of Ryan (Football Chatbox) to tell us what he is doing to his team.
Hi Ryan and thanks for the team reveal. Firstly, how did Gameweek 37 go?
I finished on 89 points and a green arrow that took me up to 25,311th in the rankings but it was probably the worst Bench Boost I could play. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson and Mason Mount were all no-shows in Gameweek 37, with Martin Dubravka being the only player on my bench to get points.
Secondly, do you like your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?
Assuming my players show up and no one gets benched, then yeah! I’ve got two weak points in the team and they are Philippe Coutinho and Vitalii Mykolenko. There are a few possible moves I could make that might depend on press conference news and any possible leaked team news.
I wish I had Jamie Vardy, as I think he could be a great punt for the final Gameweek.
So what is your transfer plan for Gameweek 38?
Now there are a few ways I could approach these two weak points. One would be that I remove Coutinho either for Luis Diaz or James Maddison. If it’s Maddison, that would give me enough funds to also sell Matty Cash for Marcos Alonso, who is another player I think that has lots of potential this weekend.
If I go for Diaz, then that might be the only move I make and I won’t take the hit to bring in a Mykolenko replacement, as I won’t have enough funds to buy a player with explosive potential. So, as things stand, this is still something I have to think about – let’s see what I’m feeling like on Sunday.
And finally, what about captaincy?
Right now, the armband is on Son Heung-min. However, at my rank, I have nothing to lose at this point, so it could end up on Harry Kane instead.
