Serie A Fantasy Round 38 Expert Team Reveals

Here we bring in two of our regular contributors and seasoned managers to provide you with their Serie A Fantasy Round 38 expert team reveals. This week we are joined by @FplRossoneri and @FPL_Crisk. Both reveal their teams and share their plans around transfers and captaincy.

With Serie A Fantasy Round 38 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our experts. Their knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.

Firstly we will touch upon @Crisk’ plans as he tries to break into the top 100 ranked managers.

Round 38 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

  • Yann Sommer (€6m) – Despite his form being below his usual standard, he deserves to feature until the end. I think he probably guarantees at least six points against Verona, who are no longer at risk of being relegated. Just in case Inzaghi decides to be an absolute troll and bench him, I have at Falcone who will sub in for him.

Defenders

  • Gleison Bremer (€6.2m) – Juventus being very leaky against Bologna won’t stop me from fielding the best defender in the game. Monza haven’t scored a lot as of late, so I’m fully expecting at least one “half” clean sheet here.
  • Berat Djimsiti (€5m) – Atalanta played yesterday in the Europa final. So, I hope that Djimsiti doesn’t get rotated against Torino. Torino rank amongst the bottom four in the league in terms of goals scored.
  • Lucas Martinez Quarta (€5.8m) – I bought him thinking he would get a double Round. Unfortunately, this won’t be the case but at least a must-win match against a safe Cagliari is a pretty nice fixture to have him for.
  • Theo Hernandez (€6.8m – Captain) – I will be in the San Siro on Saturday, so nothing is stopping me from captaining Theo. A home match, against the last team in the league, hopefully he will give Giroud a goodbye-present in the form of a couple of assists.
  • Gianluca Mancini (€6m) – He was rested last week. So hopefully Roma’s captain will feature in the away fixture at Empoli. I am expecting Roma to keep the full clean sheet here despite Empoli needing goals in order to avoid relegation.

Midfielders

  • Christian Pulisic (€9.2m, Vice-Captain) – As I said when talking about Theo, Salernitana at home is the best fixture in the game. Despite rotation being a possibility for most players, Pulisic’s replacement (Chukwueze) is injured. For that reason the Americain’s xMins are higher than most.
  • Roberto Pereyra (€6.2m) – Udinese face Frosinone in a head-to-head with the losing team risking relegation. It could be a very tense game this week which could be unlocked with a penalty, and as long as the midfielder is on the pitch, he has a great chance of returning.
  • Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – He didn’t score in the last two weeks but I’m mainly hoping that Bologna are still hungover after having celebrated their historic UCL qualification on Monday night.
  • Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) -> Daichi Kamada (€8.2m) – This is my only planned transfer for the last round of the season. I want to punt on a Lazio offensive player at home against Sassuolo, and I’m likely going Kamada over Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson as he’s been improving a lot under Tudor, getting in the box and shooting more than his teammates in the last three games (he also scored last week). He is a massive differential punt to end the season with.

Forward

  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – The only striker I would want more than Lautaro for this week is Giroud, I’ve already doubled up on AC Milan. The 5-4-1 formation I’m playing with really represents how much defenders and midfielders have outclassed 99% of forwards in this game across the two seasons I’ve played.

Nick’ Team Reveal for Round 38

Notes

  • I am sitting at around 250 OR.
  • My captaincy will fall onto a Milan player in the form of Rafa Leao. I’m trying to capitalize on the great fixture against Salernitana.
  • The newest addition to my team will be Cristante, replacing Pereyra.
  • I’m taking a much more aggressive approach, counting on seven offensive players and only three defenders.
  • We’ll see which one will work out the best!
  • Good luck!
