Serie A Fantasy Round 36 Expert Team Reveal

Regular contributor @FplRossoneri is here to provide his Serie A Fantasy team reveal for Round 36.

One of the most respected and seasoned managers in the game, checking out this expert’s top picks could prove extremely beneficial for both the round ahead and over the longer term. His knowledge and decisions could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome back to my Gameweek 36 team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. If you are new here, it’s where I pen down my thoughts about the team, transfers and captaincy decisions for each upcoming round.

In Gameweek 35, I ended up with 67(-5) points. With the average being 52, there was a small green arrow that took me from 242nd to 240th worldwide, whilst ranked second in Germany. Looking ahead, we have some nice-looking fixtures Inter, Milan and Juventus.

Round 36 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Serie A Fantasy team reveal

Goalkeeper

  • Marco Carnesecchi (€5.4m) – Some of you might have seen my late change on X once news broke that Yann Sommer was benched. I then brought Atalanta’s Carnesecchi into my team. Another reason for this purchase is that there’s a Double Gameweek that is still yet to be scheduled. Having been in-and-out all season, he has finally gained the trust of Gian Piero Gasperini by starting their last six Serie A games. Carnesecchi boasts eight double-digit hauls so far and – given that Atalanta’s defence has tightened up – we can expect him to do well in the remaining fixtures. He’s currently only owned by 5% of managers.

Defenders

  • Gleison Bremer (€6.2m) – My first defender will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits top of the defenders list with 261 points. By netting in the last game versus Roma, he recorded his 12th double-digit score of this season. Up next is Salernitana and I’d like to think Bremer will do well in that game.
  • Adam Marusic (€4.6m) – I’ve been meaning to bring in Marusic for quite some time. He replaces the tough remaining fixtures of Stefan Posch. Having slowly racked up points over the season and played all 90 minutes in the latest three games, his expected points automatically go up. Marusic and Alessio Romagnoli have been Lazio’s best players by far and they’re about to square up against Empoli.
  • Danilo (€6.6m) – Another Juventus defender is Danilo, a player who has been nothing but reliable in terms of consistent performances. He’s formed a lethal centre-back partnership with Bremer and I am expecting a clean sheet against Salernitana.
  • Raoul Bellanova (€5.2m) – Across the city, my fourth defender is going to be Bellanova. Torino is a side that is miserly in defence, with only three teams conceding fewer goals this season. Additionally, wing-back Bellanova has been a revelation by getting one goal and six assists. Expecting more of the same when they travel to Verona.

Midfielders

  • Rafael Leao (€11.6m) – My first midfielder this week is Leao from AC Milan, bought as a late transfer last week. When hoping for a strong end to the season, what’s better than facing Cagliari at home? Notoriously bad travellers, it gives Milan the chance to make amends for their own bad form. Leao is also a viable captaincy option.
  • Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – Another 2023/24 revelation is the 14 goals and three assists from Gudmundsson’s 34 outings. He has transitioned from an attacking midfielder to a forward this season and he has fully embraced the role. Of all Serie A Fantasy midfielders, he sits first on the points list and is an absolute bargain. Up next, Genoa will be against out-of-sorts Sassuolo and the hope is that Gudmundsson will again get something out of the game.
  • Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) – Similarly, Koopmeiners is having one of his best seasons at Atalanta by registering 12 goals and four assists in 30 starts. Given his form, he’s more than capable of getting a return against Roma in Gameweek 36. Atalanta’s European exploits meant he was rested in Gameweek 35 but still came on and scored past Salernitana.

Forwards

  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – Up front, the Argentine has looked a level above everyone else this season. In 35 games, the Inter forward has delivered 23 Serie A goals despite the slight regression of not netting in his last seven matches but I feel this is the week where he scores again. Now that Inter have wrapped up the title, players like Lautaro will play with more freedom knowing there’s less pressure on his shoulders.
  • Victor Osimhen (€12.6m) – My second forward this week is Osimhen, now that he’s fully back in form with eight goals and two assists in his last 12 matches. On the scoresheet in Gameweek 35 against Udinese, I expect him to come good and get more attacking returns.
  • Duvan Zapata (€8.0m) – Since arriving from Atalanta, Zapata has come good for Torino. With 12 goals and four assists, he can be considered a vital cog in how they play. He has a trip to Verona and, given his good form, a goal is realistic.

Captaincy

At the moment, my armband is currently on Rafael Leao for those above reasons, with Lautaro Martinez and Bremer also in the running. As usual, I will let everyone know on Twitter/X before the deadline. Make sure you are following both me and Fantasy Football Community for all the latest updates in Serie A Fantasy.

That’s it for my Gameweek 36 team reveal. See you all next time and, until then, best of luck. May all your arrows be green!
