Serie A Fantasy Round 14 Top Picks

Last modified date

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 14 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – Ivan Provedel (€6.0m – 9.7%)

Ivan Provedel

All of the most popular goalkeepers have a tricky fixture ahead, so this is a good opportunity for those still without one of the best goalkeepers. Provedel has one final good fixture before Lazio’ matches become drastically tougher. With Tavares most likely out, Provedel is the best bet from their defence at the moment.

Maduka Okoye (€4.8m – 5.3%)

This week sees a good home fixture for Udinese against one of the worst offensive teams in the League. I don’t trust Vieira to revitalize Geno since they seriously lack quality in their side. Overall Udinese have an affordable fixture run until at least the blank Round 19 (when Udinese will play Verona), so he could be a good punt.

Defenders – Andrea Cambiaso (€5.4m – 43.2%)

Juve’s injury crisis has been a blessing for his minutes: without Cabal, Andrea Cambiaso is pretty much guaranteed to play the full 90 minutes in most matches until (at least) January. His attacking potential as a fullback makes me prefer him over the safer Gatti pick.

Theo Hernandez (€7.0m – 51.9%)

Theo Hernandez

He’s not having his best season, but he’s by far the best Milan defender for fantasy. Fonseca keeps on rotating the CB pair, while Emerson Royal has nowhere near the attacking potential expected from a fullback. Fixtures involving Empoli are usually low scoring, which could lead to a Milan clean sheet.

Midfielders – Mattia Zaccagni (€7.2m – 34.1%)

Mattia Zaccagni

Since his return from illness/injury three Rounds ago, he gathered three goals, one in each game. His consistency could come very handy against Parma who tend to suffer from quality players like him.

Riccardo Orsolini (€8.6m – 18.4%)

Before the defeat to Lazio (understandable due to the early red card to Pobega), Orsolini had scored in four consecutive matches. Against bottom of the table Venezia, he’s surely one of the main candidates to put their name on the scoresheet.

Forwards – Romelu Lukaku (€10.4m – 15.8%)

Romelu Lukaku

After finding his way to a goal against a tight Roma side, hopefully Lukaku continues to score against Torino, who tend to concede a high amount of xG from corners/headers. Just like Djuric last week, Lukaku can use his physicality and strength to overcome his opponent’s defence.

Roberto Piccoli (€5.0m – 1.4%)

Depending on whether Marin plays or not, Piccoli could be on penalties for Cagliari. However, this is hardly the reason to have him as a top pick this week. Cagliari have a home fixture against Verona, who are one of the worst defences in the League and have just conceded five goals in just one half to Inter.
