Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 6

Last modified date

Italian football is back for another round which means the fantasy football game is too! Get ready as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 6 provided by regular @FplRossoneriHe also shares his general thoughts around captaincy.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 6 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome to my Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 6 . Here I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.

But before that, let’s look back at GW5 which turned out to be another solid GW, I scored 70 points in a GW that averaged 60 points overall. Transferring in Immobile “paid off” with 14 points coming from captaining him over Lautaro or Osimhen who both blanked.

In the end, this GW score also put me up to 380th OR and I remain 2nd in Germany. The disappointments this week were Victor Osimhen and both my Juventus assets of Vlahovic and Danilo.

For GW6 I have decided to play my one and only wildcard to attack the run of great fixtures for teams like, Napoli, Fiorentina, Inter & Roma. As always, do mind this is a tentative wildcard team and it is subject to some changes based on injury and team news.

Round 6 Team reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeepers

  • Guillermo Ochoa (€4.4m) – I have decided to go for the cheap double GK pairing and the first name in my team is Ochoa. He is a great shot-stopper and had a good season with Salernitana helping them stay in Serie A last season. He has Empoli in GW6 who have failed to score a single goal this season. Salernitana also play the likes of Cagliari, Genoa and Monza in the upcoming GWs which bodes well for Ochoa.
  • Stefano Turati (€4.0m) – One of the cheapest starting GKs in the name, Stefano Turati is the perfect enabler who facilitates more expensive picks in the team. Turati has averaged just over 5x saves per match which is great as a budget GK. Turati also rotates well with Ochoa.

Defenders

  • Danilo (€6.4m) – The legend of Serie A Fantasy that is Danilo stays in my WC team. I believe Juventus will keep a lot of clean sheets moving forward and Danilo is their captain who will play week in and week out.
  • Federico Dimarco (€6m) – One of the reasons I am wildcarding was that I wanted to be on the right Inter double up and just couldn’t ignore Dimarco as a pick. He is currently the highest-scoring player in Serie A Fantasy with his latest 14-point haul in GW5.
  • Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.4m) – The most expensive defender in the game just had to come into my team at some point. This looks to be the right time to jump on Di Lorenzo who continues his stellar form from last season. Di Lorenzo already has one goal and two assists in five rounds. If Napoli have to turn the tide in terms of form, he is going to play a big role
  • Giorgio Scalvini (€4.8m) – Another player who has had a great start to the season is Scalvini or “Scaldini” as some call him now in the community. Scalvini has amassed the most TBI for defenders so far earning nine extra fantasy points. Atalanta have also looked solid in defence so far and at just 4.8M price, I think he is a great bargain for Serie A Fantasy managers.
  • Cristiano Biraghi (€5.2m) – Fiorentina have some good fixtures coming up. They face the likes of Frosinone, Empoli and Cagliari in the next four GWs and I want to have a piece of that pie. Biraghi has one goal and one assist in three starts. He can be a great source of points in the upcoming GWs.

Midfielders

  • Rafael Leao (€11.0m) – Leao stays in my Wildcard team as I feel it seems like he is always in the points when Milan do well. This was the case when he scored again against. Verona at home. Dybala and Berardi are also in my thinking.
  • Giacomo Bonaventura (€6.0m) – The ex-Milan player has found a new lease of life at Fiorentina. He seems to always be in the right place at the right time. He has slowly cemented his position in Italiano’s side and given his recent performances of three goals and two assists in five starts, he can be a great mid priced option at just 6M. He also plays in a very attacking Fiorentina side known for scoring goals.
  • Federico Chiesa (€8.6m) – I am so glad to see Chiesa back to his best at Juventus. Chiesa has had a great start to the season scoring four goals and coming up with the winning goal more often than not playing in the ST position alongside Dusan Vlahovic. He has four double-digit hauls in five GWs and he was also another big factor in me using my WC.
  • Charles De Ketelaere (€5.6m) – CDK looks like a completely different player at Atalanta as compared to last year at Milan where he seemed so out of confidence as a player. I believe playing under Gasperini will help him even more. It is also good to see him slowly getting back to the player he was. He currently has one goal and two assists in five starts. With Scamacca injured for the next month CDK should get a lot of mins playing in the ST position for Atalanta.
  • Andrea Colpani (€4.8m) – I personally think Colpani is one of the best budget enablers in Serie A Fantasy this season. At just 4.8M price he already has three goals in five starts in a good Monza team. I expect him to carry on with his form in the coming GWs.

Forwards

  • Romelu Lukaku (€9m) – Lukaku may turn out to be a controversial pick especially when it is over the likes of Osimhen and Vlahovic. However, as of now I am willing to back him to score more points in the next few GWs at least. Lukaku comes in at a great price of 9M which enables me to have better players in other positions. In two full starts for Roma, the Belgian has scored in both games. Roma also have some good fixtures where they face the likes of Genoa, Frosinone and Cagliari.
  • Lautaro Martinez (€11m) – Martinez stays in my WC team. This is because an in-form Inter look like the best team in Serie A at the moment. Lautaro is also their talisman ST who should play every game. In the first five GWs, Lautaro has five goals and one assist. This contributed to three double-digit hauls. Inter have some great fixtures coming up as well.
  • Mateo Retegui (€6m) – Probably the best cheap option in the forward line in Serie A Fantasy. Retegui comes into my team for the first time this season. Retegui has two goals in five starts. However, Genoa did have to play the likes of Napoli and Lazio. I expect him to get anywhere between 10 and 15 goals this season and at just 6m. I think he could be a great bargain for Serie A Fantasy managers.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Giovanni Di Lorenzo for reasons I have mentioned above. Lautaro Martinez and Rafael Leao are also in the running for captaincy. I will make a call closer to the deadline tomorrow.

As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline so make sure you are following me on there @FPLRossoneriNick.

That’s it for my GW6 Team reveal, See you in GW7, and best of luck for GW6 in Serie A Fantasy. May all your arrows be green, and given that this is the only mid-week GW in the entire season, don’t miss the deadline tomorrow.
