Introduction
Welcome to my GW11 Team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.
Looking at GW10 first, I got 72 points with a GW average being 61 points. Overall I am hovering around the top 750 mark currently occupying the 745th spot.
The star of the GW for me was undoubtedly Gianluca Scamacca who scored 18 points. My captain Berardi was a disappointment only getting three points. There are some good fixtures to target in GW11 for the likes of Roma, Milan, and Napoli.
Round 11 Team Reveal (subject to change)
Goalkeeper
- Stefano Turati (€4m) – One of the best cheap enablers this season has been Frosinone GK Turati who has done well in the first 10 games in Serie A. Turati has the most saves from open play among all GKs in Serie A at the moment with 37 which comes out to be on average 3.7 saves per game. Turati will play Empoli at home in GW11 and I like his clean sheet odds.
Defenders
- Luca Caldirola (€4.6m) – Caldirola has been one of the mainstays in defence for Monza this season. He now has 46 points in just the last five GWs alone helping Monza keep three clean sheets in the last five games. Monza will play Verona away in GW11. Given Verona’ recent form, I expect Luca to get a decent points haul for me.
- Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.2m) – Giovanni Di Lorenzo has gone off the boil a bit in the recent games for Napoli. However, he has still scored 38 points in his last six games. Given he is the most expensive defender in the game I do expect a lot more. The good news for Di Lorenzo owners is he now has the likes of Salernitana and Empoli in the next two GWs. they could provide some good points. Di Lorenzo has a good record against Salernitana and even without the injured Osimhen, I can see Di Lorenzo getting a decent fantasy score.
- Diego Llorente (€4.6m) – My third and final defender for GW11 is going to be Llorente from Roma. He and Roma almost got a point vs Inter in GW10. There Llorente accumulated nine TBI. Mourinho will again count on the likes of Llorente as Roma are quite clearly short in defence with injuries to Smalling and Kumbulla.
Midfielders
- Domenico Berardi (€10.4m) – Berardi will again be one of my midfield players for GW11 when Sassuolo battles it out with Torino. Berardi has not scored in his last two games. However, I do expect him to get going again in GW11, especially with games against Salernitana and Empoli coming up.
- Rafael Leao (€11.2m) – My big premium transfer this GW is bringing in Leao when Milan play Udinese at home. Milan are in a bit of a slump at the moment. But as has been the case for the last 2-3 years, I expect a big Leao performance to put the Rossoneri back on track.
- Andrea Colpani (€5m) – My cheap enabler is Colpani and he showed again why he is one of the best budget enablers in Serie A Fantasy this season. At just a 5m he already has five goals in 10 starts in a good Monza team. I also expect him to carry on with his form in the coming GWs.
- Morten Frendrup (€4.4m) – My second cheap enabler is Frendrup. He is quietly going about his business at least from a fantasy perspective. He now has racked up 64 TBIs in just 10 games which is the highest in the league by 22 TBIs. He gives owners the assurance that no matter what he can always get anywhere between 5-7 points every GW. He will be up against Cagliari in GW11 and I expect him to do well again.
Forwards
- Romelu Lukaku (€9.2m) – Lukaku now has five goals in seven starts for Roma. He looks set to take the role of talisman for the side from the Italian capital as Dybala looks set to spend some time injured on the side-lines. Lukaku now has penalties as well in his locker and he is showing great form which is good for fantasy managers who own him. Roma will play Lecce at home in GW11 and Lukaku is a great captaincy shout too.
- Lautaro Martinez (€11.2m) – Martinez looks a level above everyone else at the moment in Serie A. He now has 11 goals and one assist in just 10 games for Inter. Inter will play Atalanta which has traditionally been a high-scoring game. Because of that I think Martinez can get back to scoring form after not scoring in GW10.
- Gianluca Scamacca (€7.2m) – GW10 star Scamacca has been a hit-and-miss this season scoring braces in two games and not scoring at all in the rest of the eight games he has played. I feel like he is still finding his feet at his new club Atalanta. But, if his performance vs Empoli is anything to go by he is going to be a great fantasy option.
Captaincy
Captaincy – At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Rafael Leao for reasons I have mentioned above. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are also in the running for captaincy.
As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline so make sure you are following me on there @FPLRossoneriNick.
That’s it for my GW11 team reveal. See you in GW12. Until then best of luck for GW11 in Serie A Fantasy. May all your arrows be green.
