Notes
- The season is over and on a high note. After Round 38 I can be extremely satisfied as I ended up as #10 OR and #1 in my native country of Italy.
- A great satisfaction as my season has been an almost constant climb up the ranks that ended on a peak. That doesn’t mean that everything went perfectly and according to plan, as I had a very bad run of captaincy blanks around mid-season.
- As far as my favourite picks go, I could prioritize the usual suspects but Serie A Fantasy often feels like a heavily template kind of game, so I tend to get more attached to differential heroes that allowed my to climb ranks in crucial weeks.
- Nuno Tavares played in my team for four Rounds very early on, peaking with a 18 points haul and averaging 10 pts per week. Towards the end two other players were massively important. I bought Soule in Round 33, I played him four times and he always returned, which was extremely satisfactory because he only blanked while he was on the bench.
- The other player, which will end up as my favourite pick of the season, is Empoli’s Jacopo Fazzini. I only owned him for the last three Rounds. Fazzini was an 1-2% owned differential from a soon to be relegated side. But, he was crucial in order to reach the top 10 rank with three consecutive weeks of attacking returns.

Notes
- It was a mediocre last round topped off a truly remarkable season for me. OR 20th and 2nd in the UK is my best finish to date. I was competitive throughout but had rotten luck with injuries midway through the campaign which hindered my chances of winning.
- Jumping on Moise Kean at £5m when lots preferred Gudmundsson was the highlight of my season- he never left!
- Double Napoli defence served me well throughout the year too!
- The less said about Theo Hernandez, the better! Inzaghi continues to frustrate when Inter go far in Europe too!
- I hope to see Fazzini back in the Serie A next season! Hero!
- Looking forward to next season already! Ciao

Notes
- My final round ended with 91 points. This pushed me into 12th overall, so overall it was an exceptional season. I also finished 1st in the UK (sorry FPL Chubbs above).
- I think in terms of success, I had plenty of assets which helped me. Obviously Napoli defenders played a major role for captaincy and gains. The same can be said for my frustrating Atalanta double in. I could also throw in the likes of Fazzini towards the end of the campaign, Kean, and Sommer for his first half of the season performances.
- I also had plenty of trolls. Zaccagni was arguably biggest. He was template for some of the season, but it was constant four pointers from him. I also want to throw in Lautaro. I stayed faithful to him throughout the campaign whilst everyone was picking Thuram. He mostly disappointed. Milan assets weren’t ideal either, especially Theo Hernandez.
- Anyway, I had a great season, Serie A continues to troll with players not starting, hopefully that changes next season (it won’t).

Notes
- Round 38: 78 points and an overall rank of 31.
- I am quite happy with it as it’s still a good rank, but I could have done better especially during the last 10 rounds.
- Bad decisions: I was Top 10-15 for almost 20 rounds but going ultra differential on my second Wildcard cost me a better rank. Not buying the likes of Retegui, McTominay or a second Napoli defender, Angelino…. etc wasn’t the best move. I played almost 38 rounds with five at the back.
- Best decisions: Captaincy was a constant return of points for my team, the likes of GDL, Sommer Gatti and Dodo didn’t deceive me. Getting some good differentials (Diao, Goldaniga, Lukalu..) Rotating Lautaro-Thuram depending on their form.
- I hope you enjoyed it, see you next season!
@PSzpak

- Final rank OR: 7th.
- My favourite assets were Svilar and Angelino – in the second half of the season Roma were the most consistent team and their superb defence worked wonders for me. A few rounds before the end I sold Svilar for Sommer and immediately regretted it.
- Orsolini – my favourite differential on WC. He missed many games, but whenever he played he had the potential to haul and gave me a few double-digit points that brought me closer to the top 10. I bought him back in the last round and he didn’t disappoint me again.
- What went well: long-term planning and the solid core of the team with secured minutes allowed me to save a lot of transfers along the way, which came in handy during the injury and rotation crisis.
- What went wrong: I had terrible luck with transfers towards the end of the season: – Round 29 – I transferred in Thauvin who unexpectedly turned out to be injured and missed the rest of the season, while I transferred out Yildiz who went on a hot streak under the new manager. Round 30 – I bought Gatti to replace injured Dumfries and the Italian got injured 25 minutes into the game. Round 34 – I reverted my move from round 29 and bought Yildiz for his juicy home game versus Monza, during which he received a red card and ended up with negative points. However, his back-to-back double digit points in the last two rounds sealed my place in the top 10. Every cloud has a silver lining.
