Most popular transfers for Gameweek 6

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is just around the corner. Many within the community are already making their moves ahead of the new round so with the help of the Official Premier League website we highlight the most popular transfers for Gameweek 6.

Checking out the most popular transfers for Gameweek 6 can be really helpful to fantasy managers. Whether it be due to injuries, bans, player and team form, the transfers other people are making can help bring clarity to our own decisions.

The most popular transfers in

  • Son Heung-min (£9.1m – Tottenham) – 559184 managers have brought in the Tottenham midfielder this week making him the highest transferred in player. Son managed a massive 20-point return recently due to his hattrick and bonus and faces Arsenal in Gameweek 6.
  • James Maddison (£7.8m – Tottenham) – The Tottenham assets look like hot property at the moment. Maddison picked up a massive 514890 making him the second most popular player this week.
  • Julian Alvarez (£7.6m – Manchester City) – Manchester City have started the season as good as expected. One of their regular starters is Alvarez who is the third most bought player with 490887 transfers in. The Manchester City striker faces Burnley in Gameweek 6.
  • Cristian Romero (£4.7m – Tottenham) – At the time of writing Romero sits as the highest scoring defender in the entire game. The centre-back managed a return in all four of his first matches and because of this has picked up 426810 new FPL managers.
  • Destiny Udogie (£4.7m – Tottenham) – FPL managers continue their clamber for the Tottenham assets even with a massive clash against Arsenal in Gameweek 6. Udogie ranks as the joint second highest for points scored amongst defenders so far. 338147 new managers have brought in Udogie this week.

The most popular transfers out

  • Nicolas Jackson – (£7.2m – Chelsea) – The Chelsea striker has been somewhat disappointing in FPL this season which has contributed to 32723 managers making the decision to sell. He also faces Aston Villa in Gameweek 6.
  • Alexander Isak (£7.7m – Newcastle) – The Swedish international faces Sheffield United in Gameweek 6 so it is surprising he has been sold by 264453 managers. Isak has picked up just one return in his first four matches.
  • Joao Pedro (£5.4m – Brighton) – Brighton have a great game ahead of them against Bournemouth in Gameweek 6. With this in mind it is surprising he has been sold by 251431 managers ahead of the new round. Pedro has managed just one return so far this season.
  • Sven Botman (£4.5m – Newcastle) – The centre-back is currently flagged but has some great fixtures ahead. He also comes up against Sheffield United in Gameweek 6. For that reason, again, it is a surprise that he sits as the fourth most sold player (241108).
  • Yoane Wissa (£6.2m – Brentford) – The Bees have been in great scoring form this season. At the time of writing Wissa has banked two returns in his first four matches. He also faces a struggling Everton next up and the 239202 managers that sold him could regret the decision.
