Most Popular Transfers for Gameweek 29

In this article we take a look at the most popular transfers for Gameweek 29. To do that we use the Official Fantasy Premier League website. There we can see who the top five most bought and most sold players are ahead of the new round.

As we approach the deadline FPL managers are scrambling to get their teams ready. Some within the community may be unsure on what moves to make. So, for that reason, highlighting the most popular transfers for Gameweek 29 could be hugely helpful.

The Most Popular Transfers in

As we can see, the most bought player ahead of the Gameweek 29 deadline is Son Heung Min with 489784 transfers in. Tottenham have a great fixture against Fulham this week and after a 17-point return in the last round, it is no surprise he tops the list.

Sitting second and bought by 225128 new managers is James Maddison. Since returning from injury Maddison has picked up a return in four out of six of his matches.

The only non Spurs player to make the top five is Ivan Toney with 217565 transfers in. Toney has blanked in all of his last four matches but faces a poor Burnley defence up next.

Tottenham defenders Pedro Porro (214007 transfers in) and Cristian Romero (139463 transfers in) have also been popular buys this week.

The Most Popular Transfers out

All of the top five most sold players do not have a fixture this week which could explain their position.

Kieran Trippier has been shipped out by the most managers (267083 transfers out). The Newcastle full-back failed to return in the three matches prior to his injury of which could see him out until March 30th.

The second highest sold player ahead of the deadline is Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke with 237861 transfers out. This move will most likely be a shift to Ivan Toney mentioned above. Solanke does however have lovely fixtures after the Blank so it could be worth having a plan for him.

The bottom three is made up of Manchester and Arsenal players who both blank this week, then face each other in the round after that. Those players include Arsenal’ in-form Bukayo Saka with 195809 transfers out and Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne with 202305 transfers out and Erling Haaland who has been shipped out by 149839 managers.
