Gameweek 28: community score predictions
Our community score predictions panel take a look at the Gameweek 28 fixtures. When making FPL decisions many FPL managers mentally predict the outcome of matches and use this to target players.
Considering:
- Who will win?
- Will there be a clean sheet in this match?
- How many goals can I see being scored?
- How many players do I want to play in this game?
Gameweek 28 is another big one for FPL managers. With six teams playing twice there is a lot to gain, and potentially a lot to lose from making the wrong decisions. Our community score predictions panel share their predictions for the matches and what this might mean for our FPL plans.
Gameweek 27
Last week the panel predicted the result correctly seven times. They predicted the correct outcome a further 26 times. All of the panelists correctly predicted that Man City and Southampton would win.
FPL Shake n Bake, FPL Inzaghi and Pilot Flame all correctly predicted the scoreline in two matches. With FPL Talking Points also predicting one result correctly.
Pilot Flame and FPL Shake n Bake registered 9 points this weekend meaning they won the week. FPL Inzaghi was close behind with eight points scored this week.

Key talking points
The panel are predicting just 18 away wins this weekend, 16 of those in just three matches.
All of the panel have predicted a win on the road for Chelsea and Arsenal. With all bar FPL Focus expecting wins at home for Spurs and Liverpool. The panel are also unanimous in thinking that Aston Villa and Southampton will play out a scoring draw.
The panel are only predicting 29 clean sheets this weekend, meaning that investing heavily in the defence may not be wise for managers. The majority of the clean sheets predicted are for the Arsenal, Chelsea and Wolves so these could be the defences to target this time around.

FPL Shake n Bake
From an FPL perspective, all eyes will be on Leeds’s Double Gameweek as we look to see how their assets will look under Jesse Marsch. For managers disappointed with Raphinha’s points returns of late, he is one to hold this weekend.
Players with doubles that I expect to be popular this week include James Ward-Prowse, Philippe Coutinho, Jacob Ramsey and Joe Willock. The latter is someone I have my eye on, as he looks to be replicating his excellent form from the end of last season as Newcastle fight their way out of trouble.
Keep an eye out for news regarding Chelsea, it looks like their match with Norwich will move to Thursday giving them a Double Gameweek. However we still need official confirmation from Official FPL. If they do double managers are going to want some representation. Burnley and Norwich are both enticing fixtures, especially for their defensive assets and the returning Reece James.
