@FPLReaction’ team reveal for Gameweek 3
The new Premier League season continues so we look to the third round. We bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction to give you his team reveal for Gameweek 3.
As we approach any given deadline, managers will be scrambling for clarity on some of the biggest decisions in the game like transfers and captaincy. Taking a look at @FPLReaction’s team reveal for Gameweek 3 could benefit other managers when making those decisions.
Gameweek 2 review
- Gameweek 2 was a low scoring round in general but either way it was a green arrow for me.
- I managed to hit 56 points in the second round which saw me rise from 700k to 475k so overall it was a strong Gameweek.
- My biggest success was of course Bryan Mbeumo who managed 16 points for his brace and bonus.
- Another success was Pervis Estupinan who somehow scored and created an assist.
- My third highest return came from Wlliam Saliba who hit eight points. I still feel fortunate that i swapped out Gabriel with the rumours in Gameweek 1 because ultimately there is a big points swing between them.
- Captaincy didn’t go well and I did consider Mbeumo but for me I felt it was too early to start taking risks against ownership.
- The Manchester United and Arsenal midfielders were huge let downs in Gameweek 2.
Team Reveal for Gameweek 3
- This is my set up at the moment but there will be at least one definite change.
- I have two transfers this week but I think i may only use one.
- I am giving the Manchester United midfielders one more week but only to see which one I should be selling.
- I currently think Bruno Fernandes is a better hold than Rashford because of both penalties and his excellent underlying offensive data but that could change in Gameweek 3 if Rashford is moved over to the wing.
- I am slightly concerned about the Arsenal midfielders to be honest. They haven’t been hugely convincing but at least more so than the Manchester United attackers. Because of this there behind the latter in terms of the chopping block.
- Pickford could also be an issue long term or at least until the wildcard but I just don’t see who I would move him to, the options are underwhelming.
- My main transfer target is Nicolas Jackson and that would mean selling Ollie Watkins. I was going to make the move last night to beat Jackson’ price rise but had £0.5m in the bank anyway and felt like waiting just in case we received information closer to the deadline.
- Captain will of course be Erling Haaland against Sheffield United. He may have been quiet last week but I think he could go big in Gameweek 3.
