FPL Tips Gameweek 19 | Last Minute
Fantasy Football Tips GW19 from our Fantasy Football Community ahead of the deadline.
With a mammoth 15 fixtures, which chip should we be using in the Fantasy Football tips for Double Gameweek 19?
Injuries
There’s plenty of injury news for the fantasy football tips gameweek 19, including from St. Mary’s where Danny Ings has been confirmed out for the weekend. The good news is that Alex McCarthy and Che Adams are available, but unfortunately for owners, Southampton now have just one fixture this gameweek, with their match against Leeds United being postponed.Ings is expected to return to training tomorrow. “It seems that he is out for the weekend.” Jannik

Fixtures
Unfortunately the fixture landscape has changed multiple times since the Double Gameweek 19 fixtures were announced back in mid-December, meaning many managers who set up for this one long-term may now be in a difficult position. Ben Crellin has updated the fixture calendar following Thursday’s (hopefully) final announcements.'Double Gameweek 19' has become 'Blank and Double Gameweek 19.

Everton now have Blank GW
11 teams have a Double GW
8 teams have a Single GW

Spurs
Many managers are having their heads turned by Double Gameweek assets, and therefore selling premium assets with a single gameweek to fit them in. That means that Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are seeing fire sales ahead of their match against Sheffield United. Looking at longer term fixtures and underlying statistics, these moves are entirely justified according to Let’s Talk FPL’s Andy.Seeing a lot of worry or concerns about selling Spurs players.
— Andy (@LetsTalk_FPL) January 14, 2021
I get that they have Sheffield United but they also have Liverpool in 20 and Chelsea in 22.
It's not like they're £6.0m~, they're blocking other heavy hitters who have doubles + better fixtures in some cases.
City
One route in swapping premiums is investing in Manchester City players over Spurs assets. Manchester City have been far from their usual selves this season, but we have seen a stark improvement in recent games. That should give fantasy managers enough confidence to invest, but Pep Guardiola’s rotation does add another element in here.Looking at Man City’s recent attacking stats you can definetly see that they getting closer to what we are used to seeing from them

With plenty of potential transfers on the agenda for the FPL GW19 Tips, FPL Editor pinpoints five key players to consider using the powerful Fantasy Football Fix algorithm. Two heavy hitting midfielders make the cut, with our headline man Kevin De Bruyne one of the key contenders here. Those playing a chip this week should be aiming for close to a full house here. Triple Captain
Considering the Triple Captain chip this week is the FPL Diary’s Gianni Buttice. He presents a convincing argument as to why Kevin De Bruyne is deserving of the Triple Captain chip this week, for any manager not opting for another chip in this gameweek. There are question marks over whether he will get 180 minutes, with Pep Guardiola commenting on his tiredness this week.Reasons to consider KDB TRIPLE CAPT

✅ 2 good home fixtures
✅ No European football
✅ Still on pens
✅ KDB on form
✅ City have 'clicked'
✅ Free's other chips for doubles
✅ KDB should start both
❌It's still Pep, benching once?
❌Very slim chance Villa game off
I'm close
For those worrying about KDB being rested in GW19.

Villa
Aston Villa have benefited from the change in the fixtures, with a Double Gameweek now for them. FPL Banger compares their offensive options with these games in mind, but there’s a fairly big caveat here. The squad have been heavily impacted by COVID-19 and we are unlikely to know which players will be fit and available to play ahead of the deadline.El Ghazi??Grealish???????Watkins???????Traore??

Bench Boost
Bench Boost was a popular chip to play this week when the fixtures were announced, but changes in the fixtures have made it more of a challenge. However, there’s still a convincing argument to deploy the chip with 10+ players for the double and favourable fixtures for those single players. FPL Tips is flying this season and is one of the managers sticking to the strategy.? NEW #FPL VIDEO ?

Bookings
When selecting players for the Double Gameweek, one important element to consider at this time of year is how many bookings any given player is on. Bruno Fernandes could miss the Fulham game should he pick up a booking against Liverpool, which will put many managers off giving him the armband. There are others in a similar position too, with data from FPL Companion.Notable players on 4 bookings ?(games till cut off)

Strategy
A double gameweek presents an ideal time to deploy a chip to maximise the number of fixtures, and it’s top of the agenda for FPL General on the latest episode of the 59th Minute podcast. This episode will be particularly useful for any manager on the fence regarding whether to deploy their Bench Boost chip this week or considering a bigger hit than normal.Grab your headphones ?

Form
With De Bruyne and Salah the two key leaders in the captaincy race, and both with two home games, it’s important to consider form when making a big decision for the armband. In this instance, considering pairs of home fixtures to simulate a double gameweek from Pirlos Pen, it’s Salah who has the more consistent record in consecutive home games this season. It’s something to consider.KDB vs Salah for DGW captain.
— Pirløs Pen #FPL (@PirlosPenFPL) January 14, 2021
Both have 2 home games. What would their scores be if we assumed every consecutive home game was a DGW?
Salah – 25, 10, 20.
KDB – 5, 24, 7.
Just a bit of fun as an exercise, but to me it seems like Salah is the more reliable guy at home. #FPL pic.twitter.com/bG6wfAkimX
Odds
The bookies odds can be very insightful when it comes to nailing down those selections and captaincy. FPL Salah provides the latest clean sheet probabilities: these are particularly useful for anyone making a defensive transfer this week and considering whether a hit would be worth it.
