Goalkeepers
Manchester City’ home fixture against newly promoted Burnley could be a great opportunity for Gianluigi Donnarumma bank a clean sheet.
This week the Italian is backed up by Bournemouth’ Djorde Petrovic, who will step up if Donnarumma fails to feature.
Defenders
Having lost all five of their games this season, something isn’t right at Wolves. Because of this and Tottenham’ solid defensive start to the campaign, Pedro Porto makes the cut.
James Tarkowski is one of two players to have scooped up an extra two points for defcons in each and every one of his matches so far. This week he faces a struggling West Ham side.
The other player with a 100% defcon success rate is Marcos Senesi. Bournemouth have also collected three clean sheets this season, so he could have multiple routes to points against Leeds this week.
The focus on defcons continue as Fulham’ Joachim Andersen sits on the bench. He meets with Aston Villa who rank second from bottom for expected goals.
Nordi Mukiele is unlikely to play for us, and helps enable funds around the team.
Midfielders
Bruno Fernandes has managed two goals this season, whilst averaging around 11 defcons per 90. The Manchester United penalty taker comes up against a leaky Brentford defence in Gameweek 6, and goes into it off the back of hitting two 10-point returns in his previous three games.
Piling up on Manchester City attacking assets ahead of their clash against Burnley could be hugely beneficial. One player expected to start is Phil Foden who appears to be close to full match fitness once more.
Wolves have been awful from a defensive perspective this season, whilst Tottenham continue to improve under Thomas Frank. In attack, Ghanian Mohammed Kudus has impressed – with four assists in just five matches.
Everton are another side who have impressed, especially from an attacking perspective. Additional signings in the summer only increase penalty taker Iliman Ndiaye‘ potential, and this week he could punish the West Ham defence.
There aren’t many attackers who have had a better start to the season than Antoine Semenyo. The Bournemouth man has already racked up three goals and two assists and clashes with Leeds this week.
Forwards
Spearheading the effective Manchester City attack is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has produced six goals and a huge 10 big chances already this season, so he could well breach the Burnley defence this week.
Wolves’ form is a major concern for them, but its also an opportunity for Tottenham to score goals at home. Leading the Tottenham frontline is Richarlison, who could easily add to his tally this week.
On the bench and unlikely to play is Brentford penalty taker Thiago who faces a leaky Manchester United defence.
