With two free transfers available, it’s time to lock in the FPL Gameweek 38 Team for the final time this season.
Manchester City players dominate, but there’s the flexibility to switch them around in order to get three starters for the headline fixture of the gameweek.

Earlier this week, I provided a preview of my thoughts on the FPL Gameweek 38 team over on the YouTube channel. The Fantasy Football Community channel is new for this season and any support you can give is welcomed – please subscribe, like, comment and share!

The team impressed in the penultimate gameweek of the season, with a clean sweep across the back. Only Gabriel Jesus and Bruno Fernandes failedto deliver an offensive return from the attackers.
This week, with two free transfers, the priority is to have three starters from Manchester City. David Silva was rested midweek, so I’m expecting him to come in for Phil Foden so that’s one of the free transfers I’m going to make.
With fitness issues surrounding Charlie Taylor, Erik Pieters could come in as the other transfer. I’ll make changes close to the deadline, in the hope of some early team news.
The captaincy currently lies with Kevin De Bruyne, but I’m tempted to give it to David Silva when he comes into the side. Mo Salah is a worthy deputy if needed, but it might be sensible to use the captain and vice in the same fixture.
At the time of writing, the team is ranked at 65,803 with 2,218 points. All chips have now been used. Squad value lies at £102.9 million, with £2.8 million in the bank.
