FPL Experts Ahead of the Gameweek 37
We bring in the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 37. It has been a whirlwind Gameweek 36 with lots of shocks and surprises of which some of the best managers and biggest personalities in the FPL community have reacted to. They also highlight players, teams and chips looking ahead.
Catching up with some FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 37 could be hugely beneficial for fantasy managers. From them we can emphasise some of the best and worst performances which can then have an effect on future planning.
@FplMode
Andy reacted to the Gameweek 36 opener between Luton and Everton. The Toffees have been fantastic this season defensively, racking up the second most clean sheets in the league. Because of this a large proportion of the FPL community have been benefitting from owning the likes of Jordan Pickford and Jarrad Branthwaite.
Ahead of the round many felt that Everton would add to their clean sheet total against Luton, but that wasn’t to be. That may have been the case but Branthwaite won a penalty for one of the goals and picked up a solid five points.
With a double Gameweek ahead, Everton defensive owners will have to make a huge decision. Play them against Sheffield United this week? Or transfer them out for a player with a double Gameweek? The fact that the Blades have netted in all of their last four matches could well be considered.
@FPLGOAT7
FPL GOAT also highlighted another huge moment in Gameweek 36. Arsenal remain the best defensive unit in the league and they proved that once again with another clean sheet this week.
The above didn’t benefit everyone however. Some chose to back against Arsenal, mostly due to the fact they do not have a double Gameweek in 37. The Gooners face Manchester United next up, so it could be interesting to see how managers navigate with Arsenal defenders, especially with a match against Everton on the final day of the season.
@FPLMarcin
Marcin humorously touched upon the most significant moment in Gameweek 36. Manchester City came into the round searching for another three points against Wolves and they did exactly that in style. Wolves were dismantled by Manchester City 5-1 and one man in particular was heavily involved.
FPL managers who chose to disregard Erling Haaland as captain suffered a crushing defeat, or at least at the time of writing, the Norwegian racked up a mammoth four goals and 21 points. With a double Gameweek in 37, those that were considering not captaining Haaland may now have to think again.
@FPLfrasier
It wasn’t just Erling Haaland owners who benefitted from the game this week. Some like Frasier decided to bring in defender Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian seems to have become one of the best performing assets in the game as of late.
With two goals, two assists and two clean sheets in his last four matches Gvardiol is quickly becoming a must for fantasy managers. Manchester City face a lovely double Gameweek this week so now could finally be the time to bring Gvardiol in for non owners.

Newcastle were one of the most talked about teams ahead of Gameweek 36. The community was gripped by a benching headache prior to the deadline and whether we should start or bench Anthony Gordon was one of those dilemmas.
The above was primarily due to Gordon’ poor form away from home this season. However, his doubters were proved wrong after earning six points for an assist. Although, that number could have been even higher after winning a penalty in which Alexander Isak failed to convert.
Isak was also amongst the returns though after hitting a goal and an assist. Unfortunately that was not the case for Newcastle defenders like Dan Burn who conceded the clean sheet minutes before the final whistle.
