FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 5
We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 5. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.
Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 5 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.
@ZhouFPL
Experienced FPL manager and content creator Joe discussed Jarrod Bowen this week. West Ham went into Gameweek 4 as heavy favourites against Luton. The Hatters have been sustaining some of the worst defensive data in the league and many managers looked to target them.
West Ham won the game 2-1 and Bowen managed to get on the score sheet resulting in a seven-point return. Some also backed striker Michail Antonio but he failed to pick up a significant return. The Hammers face Manchester City after the international break so West Ham asset owners could be looking to sell already.
@Hibbo_FPL
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Hibbo highlighted the performance of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in Gameweek 4. The Toffees were looking to get some points on the board in their clash against Sheffield United.
Everton drew their match 2-2 but it meant another poor FPL performance from Jordan Pickford who picked up just one point due to his own goal. With Arsenal and Brentford next up after the international break owners could have finally have had enough of the goalkeeper.
@SnakeFpl
Experienced FPL manager @SnakeFpl brought up a massive topic during Gameweek 4. Manchester City were looking to secure their place at the top of the table and they were successful as they dismantled Fulham 5-1.
Contributing towards the goals was Erling Haaland who racked up a mammoth 20 points for his three goals and assist. Amongst the other goals was striker Julian Alvarez who bagged a huge 15 points for his assists. Manchester City have some fantastic fixtures coming up so it could be a great time for non-owners to bring in Alvarez.
@FPLMarcin
Content creator Marcin fell victim to a big moment in Gameweek 4. After Chelsea managed to sweep aside Luton in Gameweek 3 they went into their game against Nottingham Forest with high expectations from fantasy managers.
Many invested in the likes of defenders Ben Chilwell and Malo Gusto, midfielder Raheem Sterling, and striker Nicolas Jackson. However, all four options failed to return as the Blues flopped to a 1-0 loss. Chelsea have good fixtures coming up but their performance will no doubt cause worry amongst owners moving forward.
@Pras_fpl
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Pras emphasised the consistency of one player this week. Many expected Mbeumo to return big points against Bournemouth in Gameweek 4 and he didn’t fail to bring in another return for his owners.
Mbeumo came close to returning several times during the game but his points didn’t come until the latter minutes of the match. The winger also outscored a lot of top midfielder targets this week and with fair fixtures approaching after the break we could see his ownership increase even more.
