Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 4 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.
@FPL_Fran
Content creator Fran had a moment he will never forget this week. Chelsea faced Luton in Gameweek 3 which was their first of several good fixtures scheduled. Many within the community rushed to bring in striker Nicolas Jackson and defender Ben Chilwell and both finished the round with returns.
Fran, however, was one of the few managers to take the risk with the likes of defender Malo Gusto and midfielder Raheem Sterling who both went big and claimed huge double-digit returns. With more good fixtures ahead, we could see the likes of both as high on watchlists as both Jackson and Chilwell.
@FPLMarcin
Content creator Marcin also had some joy in Gameweek 3. Manchester United attackers were well and truly under the microscope this week. Both Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford came into the round after failing to return in any of their first two matches.
Manchester United got off to a poor start against Nottingham Forest. However, the Reds turned the game on its head with the help of Fernandes and Rashford. Both also managed to secure two returns each which could mean managers now hold the duo even with Arsenal up next.
@Hibbo_FPL
Fantasy Football Scout contributor and content creator Hibbo highlighted several key moments during Gameweek 3. Tottenham faced Bournemouth this week and continued their great form with a 2-0 win. Amongst the returns was full-back Destiny Udogie. He managed to secure a double-digit haul after creating an assist, picking up a clean sheet and bagging bonus.
As Hibbo mentions, some managers still held Arsenal defender Gabriel and the Brazilian failed to start his third game in a row. Some of those who held onto Gabriel picked up Udogie’ return off the bench. The Tottenham defender faces some great fixtures ahead so it is highly likely he makes plenty of starting 11’s moving forward.
@FplMode
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Andy highlighted an asset many were hoping for another good week from. Brentford have started the season firing on all cylinders which in turn has hugely benefitted their attacking assets.
Bryan Mbeumo bagged a huge 23 points in his first two matches after producing three goals. Because of this Mbeumo became one of the most popular purchases coming into Gameweek 3. Unfortunately he failed to continue his brilliant start to the season slumping to a two-point return. That may have been the case but Mbeumo has some great fixtures coming up so there will be plenty of potential for him to get back on track.
@CORF_FPL
Fantasy football content creator Corf is back with another Maddison post. Tottenham have been very impressive at the start of the new campaign and its their goalscoring that has caught the eye of FPL managers more than anything else.
New signing James Maddison made a huge initial impact but then picked up an injury ahead of Gameweek 3. Because of the uncertainty around if he would start or not swarms of managers gave him the boot and he punished them by securing a 10-point return. He faces Burnley and Sheffield United next up so he could find his way back into fantasy teams ahead of that run.
