FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 15
We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 15. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.
Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 15 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.
@Pras_fpl
Pras was one of the many FPL managers to go into Gameweek 14 stocked up on Arsenal players. Arsenal played at home, a venue they are significantly stronger in. The Gooners started well and scored two goals in the early stages of the game. On the scoresheet was Bukayo Saka, a player many targeted ahead of the deadline.
As dominant as they were Arsenal still conceded in the 86th minute. This meant that both William Saliba and Gabriel failed to return. However, Luton lay ahead next which could be the perfect opportunity to back the Arsenal defence. Those who own Gabriel could be slightly concerned about his minutes this week but Saliba owners will be going into the new round confident of a start.
@FPLMarcin
Another player many hoped would do well in Gameweek 14 is Bryan Mbeumo. Brentford had a very nice fixture against Luton this week, a team still yet to keep a single clean sheet this season. The Bees netted three times to sink the Hatters.
Although Brentford scored three goals Mbeumo was involved in just one of them to the dismay of his owners. But, the penalty taker has fixtures against Brighton and Sheffield United next up. With that in mind those who do not own Mbeumo could be scrambling to bring him in.
@lateriser12
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Lateriser emphasised the performance of one player in particular. Burnley went into their match against Sheffield United desperate for a win. That’s exactly what they did as they dismantled fellow newly promoted side Sheffield United 5-0 in Gameweek 14.
Amongst the returns was defender Charlie Taylor who comes in at just £4m. Taylor kept a clean sheet, created an assist and managed to pick up a bonus to claim a huge 10 points. Taylor was a big favourite amongst those who Wildcarded some time ago. With a match against Wolves next, could some owners consider starting him?
@LetsTalk_FPL
Goalkeepers continue to be an issue for FPL managers this season. Finding a stable goalkeeper pick in FPL has been one of the toughest challenges of the season so far with many switching between the likes of Jordan Pickford and Matt Turner to Alphonse Areola.
Matt Turner and Alphonse Areola have been hugely disappointing in terms of output and Pickford picked up zero returns in his first seven matches. That was around the time many got fed up and decided to sell. However, since then Pickford has picked up three clean sheets.
Other great options moving forward could include the likes of Martin Dubravka (£3.9m) of Newcastle due to Pope’ injury and even Chelsea’ Robert Sanchez (£4.6m) to cover their great fixture run ahead.
@FPL_Harry
Harry was one of many hoping for a Kieran Trippier yellow card this week. There was however good reason to this. Harry was probably hoping he would be suspended for the next match against Everton, then a drop in price to buy him for the period after. The Newcastle full-back did not get booked but instead managed an assist, clean sheet and three bonus points against Manchester United.
Also involved in the win against the Reds was midfielder Anthony Gordon. He picked up his 11th return of the season which emphasised his consistency. He also picked up an injury which could also be worth monitoring ahead of the new round.
Newcastle have meetings with Everton, an out of form Tottenham and Fulham in the next three so FPL managers will be scrambling to bring their assets in.
