Notes
- The likes of Ben White, Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta ensured my DGW34 Free Hit was a resounding success. In fact I recorded a green arrow up to an OR of 1.8k!
- This week my plan is to roll a transfer and reassess my options closer to DGW37. Caoimhin Kelleher, Darwin Nuñez and possibly Rayan Aït-Nouri all need to move on eventually however. That plan hasn’t changed as of yet, even in light of injuries to Destiny Udogie and potential issues for Malo Gusto, Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland. Pedro Porro is also an injury doubt for DGW35. I don’t see the benefit of investing further in the Spurs defence. I would rather wait until nearer DGW37 to bring in an alternative double Gameweek defender.
- With Gusto and Palmer, I don’t think it’s worth spending transfers to remove them when there’s a good chance they’ll be back in time for DGW37. Similarly, I don’t think it’s a good use of transfers to shuffle my Spurs and Chelsea assets just to make space for Nicolas Jackson. He is the main DGW35 asset missing from my squad I feel.
- Injuries permitting, I will therefore be lining up in DGW35 with Đorđe Petrović in goal and Gusto, Dan Burn and Aït-Nouri in defence. Gabriel makes do with a place on the bench as I’m not expecting Arsenal to keep a clean sheet in the North London derby.
- I’m currently planning on playing all five of my midfielders this week. Although, news that Diogo Jota has once again been side-lined with injury makes Nuñez a slightly more appealing proposition.
- Palmer and Son-Heung Min are my two candidates for captaincy. The Chelsea midfielder (assuming he’s fit to start the Aston Villa game) just shades the decision as things stand based on recent form.
- Upfront, Haaland and Alexander Isak will lead the line. Nunez will come in for Haaland if ruled out of their game against Nottingham Forest.
