FPL Community Reactions to Gameweek 25 (Saturday)

A collection of the community’s best online Fantasy Premier League (FPL) reactions to the latest Gameweek.

Here are the post-deadline LiveFPL stats for Gameweek 25, ahead of five Saturday matches. FFScout covered the main team news of the 3pm kick-offs.

FPL Reactions

Man United kicked off their Double Gameweek with the lunchtime meeting against Southampton. With many captaining Bruno Fernandes or Cristiano Ronaldo, naturally it was Jadon Sancho who opened the scoring from a Marcus Rashford assist. The Saints equalised via Che Adams and it was another frustrating 1-1 draw for Ralf Rangnick’s side.

Only three matches took place at 3pm, bringing an important win for Everton over Leeds. The first goal seemed to be a Dominic Calvert-Lewin assist but replays showed the cross was cut out by defender Diego Llorente before Seamus Coleman converted. The FPL Community had a mixed reaction.

2-0 down at half time, Marcelo Bielsa responded by removing star man Raphinha at half time. Anthony Gordon deflected a Richarlison shot into the net, to seal a comfortable win for the Toffees. There was also a goalless draw between Brentford and Crystal Palace, alongside Brighton claiming a 2-0 win at Watford.

Man City team news arrived at 4:30pm with the announcement that Joao Cancelo, Aymeric Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne were on the bench for their meeting with Norwich.

It ended up being a comfortable 4-0 win for City, with Raheem Sterling collecting a hat-trick and even Phil Foden getting on the scoresheet. Ruben Dias added an assist to his clean sheet.
